What celica should i buy? And does it really worth it?

hi, my name is Anton i am 18 years old from PA, i drive 02 Aurora like my car its a strong V8 but its not like i am gonna go drug race with it or anything and now that the summer season is coming i would like to get something that is fun to drive. I had a 01 Mrcury Cougar i4 5 speed and that car was preatty slow so i got rid of it. Yesterday i test drove a black celica gts 6 speed and i was preatty impressed it was $12000 53k on it, but is there a really huge difference between gt and gts, and wat can you say about you celicas guys is it really worth it before i spend my hard earned 12 gees.

How about Eclipse GT and Scion tc are they any good.

Hey, Yeh the GTS is definitely faster than the GT. It's a fun car to drive but if you're power-hungry, you should look elsewhere. I drive a GT and i like it. I wish the car had a lil more power but whatever.... If you're thinkin bout Modding your car though, then the Celica isn't the car you want to get. :)

/\ I agree - the celi isnt the best car to mod performance wise - mainly because of a lack of manufacturer support - but out of the three you listed the Celi is def. your best option for a fun to drive car. Eclipse MPG sucks bawls and a scion is basically a cross between a celi gt and gts styled differently (160 hp = not quick). I bought me 00 Celi GTS for 12K (50,000 miles) and think its a great buy for the cash. Plus the Celi is the most reliable of the three and gets the best MPG (most of the time ;)).I say Celi, but you will have a biased opinion if you look on this forum!

Plus nothing gives a rush like hitting lift in a celi gts - makes you feel like you're going faster than you really are - sooooo much more fun than my ;)

I am new here as well Anton. Welcome to the boards!! These people really seem to know alot about celicas and wont stear you wrong. :)

From what I have learned on the boards so far, if you can find a good GTS jump on it. I have driven a couple of GTs and they seemed pretty fast to me. I am currently trying to find myself a nice GT or GTS that hasn't been raced or wrecked. I hope you have better luck in your area.

Well every1 has a different preferences and opinion.. honestly u can make any car go fast; it's just about money. The celica gts/6speed to me is a better car than the GT; it's different in perfomance and very fun to drive than the gt (stock). If u want to race.. get the GT available turbo kits are in the 800 whp range... If u want looks and just enough performance like me; It got to be the GTS available with up to 300 whp (turbocharged) but remember the celica is a very light car and can even be lighter (at 2500 lbs) so you better upgrade ur suspension first b4 turbocharging it. Anyway with those figure u can do just about daily 12-13 sec quarter miles and 0-60 in the 5 second range... enough to take out any stock car in its class.

nope, a car is never a good investment of money, but people buy them anyway, if you like the car go for it, try to bring the price down a tad bit too

The celica GT-S out performs the other cars you have listed, but like stated above if you are power hungry dont get it. The GT is very slow, so dont listen to the people that have one that say, they think there GT must be different cause it feels fast. Butt dyno always lies. If your serious about speed then go buy an old civic hatch or crx for 3k and swap and boost it. for the price of a stock gts you could have a nice street car on your hands. I would love to have a swapped civic on boost, but i pick MPG, reliability, and style over it anyday.
