Opinion on the Mazda3

I will be getting a new car either Mazda3 or 9thGen Corolla S and I'm leaning towards more to the Mazda3. Just wanted people opinion on the Mazda3 or the 9thGen Corolla S before I make my final decision.

Minus reliability, I'd definitely get the 3 over the Corolla. Way nicer looking inside and out, and handling that's about equal to the Celica.

well if you take care of it good hopefully reliability won't be too much of an issue but Mazda 3 because for the price which is about the same or less than the corolla you get a car which isnt as girl-ish, better seats, in-dash cd changer.

Def. the 3. I test drove one not too long ago and the handling is not anywhere near the celica but its a great car.

Definately the 3. I drove one and was impressed with the handling for a 4-door econocar. Plus it looks a lot better.

My friend just got a 3. Not a bad car, but i'd probably go w/the tc for around that price range. Def over the corolla.

i test drove the mazda 3 s in auto and manual. the manual is the choice with a very light clutch and no kick back or jerk at all...

plus next gen corolla is coming anyway...i would recommend the new civic...

i actually wanted a 3 before i found the celi but i would still want one for an every day car and convert the celi to a weekend and track car. if i only had the money :(

Everyone i know that has the 3's always regret it and ends up trading it in for a mazda6.

i agree with marc...3 is nicer then the corolla, but i would not even consider either car with the new civic out there

i need a four door for the family because the Celi is just too small I'll look more into the civic see how that goes

Mazda 3 is the best small car out there - hands down.

The only other small car I'd consider would be the Mini Cooper or the new Civic, but I don't like the Civics with the Macpherson struts - gimme my double wishbones (1989-2000)

If time is not a pressing factor, try to wait and see how the 10th gen Corolla will be. Might be a dud, but it may also be the successor to the Celica.
