Which car do you guys like better? They're basically the same car, i'm pretty sure, so if price wasn't the issue, I think the G35 coupe is a more refined version. Some of the 350Z's lines are still throwing me off a little.
Here's Motor Trend's article on the G35 coupe:

For pics of the 350Z (just for your comparison), check out:

Oh, BTW, the G35 sedan looks different from the coupe. The sedan has a slightly different grille, rear lights, and other minor differences. Although IMO the coupe looks much better than the sedan; i've seen both in person.

Coupe all the way. That's one hell of a car. Can't wait to drive it.

I would have to go with the G35 coupe as I already own an impractical two seater. :)

I like the Coupe better as well. For sporty driving, the 350Z will probably rule but for overall styling, the G35 Coupe looks nicer.

What about curb weight, cornering ability, etc? would the 350Z be better in those aspects?

I like the Z. The front of the G35 looks like a Caddy

Well, if they're basically the same car, i think most aftermarket stuff for the Z will work on the G35 coupe (not sedan necessarily), even with just simple modifications.

Either one is nice considering both are Nissan. I'm pretty much dissappointed though with the looks of the G35 series. They could of atleast made it look more like recent JDM Skyline version since that's what the G35 is suppose to be...

I'll take a 350Z Track version please...
It all really depends, I'm sure the coupe performance will not be on par with the 350Z... especially in the Track trim. But, I do agree the coupe looks a little smoother :)

If this question was asked a month ago, I would've said the 350Z, hands down. Now that I see the G35 coupe, it's definitely a tougher decision.
I was thinking of trading in my Celi towards the purchase of a 350Z (my Toyota dealership has a Nissan counterpart, so the paperwork would be much easier to handle). The numbers on both cars are almost identical, as well as the prices. The G35 has a 2+2 config, so that should help with insurance. :D On the other hand, the Z is a true sports car (definitely no "Baby On Board" signs or 'Winnie The Pooh' window shades in this baby!)
Damn! Decisions, decisions........

Nissan Skyline is Infinity G35 here in states. They have 2 versions in Japan, V35 Skyline and the G35. I found this information in Nissan Japan website. The suspension is the same and so is the engine, it's just detune engine. I would get the G35, it's as close as I could get to a Skyline. So go for the G35 Coupe.

i like the 350Z better, although I havent seen either in person. From the pics i've seen I didnt like the instrument display in the G35 as compared to the racing style gauges in the Z. I am saving for the z right now but I'm not buying one until i actually test drive both of em.

Actually this isn't exactly right. They do share components but they aren't the same car. They are currently splitting the GT-R label from the Skyline (at least thats what I understand). You dont want the plan old Skyline, thats just a family sedan, it's different from the GT-R which is a whole other beast.
So some of what you say is true and some not. I wish they would just release the new GT-R to clear things up for me. I BELIEVE that the next Skyline GT-R, will just be called either just the Skyline (maybe) or the R35 (I think more likely) in the US.
Also the engine isn't a detuned Skyline engine it's brand new, the 350Z and G35 share the engine.

I saw both of these at the NY Auto Show at the Javitz Jacob and I was very impressed with the G35. Overall, the speculated numbers on the Z seem far greater than the luxary sister company of Infiniti. My bro has the old school 94 Z and I seriously thinking of trading in my GTS for it. But I really need to test drive this thing cause with number like 280+ hp, that draws my attention. Test drives may be possible as early as July. I'll post when I do get in one of those silver bullets. <to be continued...>

DAYANG..these things MUST BE HEAVY....
They're only talking about a 0-60 time of 6 flat!!
Didn't our cars do it in 6.5, and the WRX does it in 5.4?
Wow....I wonder how the top end is?
