View Full Version : Just gunmetald my 15 inch stock wheels

just used duplicolor gunmetal on my stock 15's. gonna get some low profile 40 series drag radials for them soon and use them as a racing wheel for drag.

they look cool...but theres a bit of overspray. im thinking of sanding them down and doing it again.

anyone else done this?

try a clay bar first...this may very well take care of your overspray, and save you a couple hours labor

it does. these are my friends 15 's from his GT.

im buying them off of him.

actually...... the gts comes with the 15" rims.. the 16"s are actually an option..... but most gt-s comes with 16"s anyway... i saw a gts with fabric and 15" gt rims.... very strange..... no spoiler and no moonroof.. musta been customed or ordered or something....... i had to look at it twice over..... it had eshift buttons and non-leather, non-gt seats......

um fastcelica, most rims that are black or white or whatever are either powdercoated or painted

yeah man, i painted them with duplicolor wheel paints.

i just wanted them to not stick out so much that i was using some little 15's...so i painted them to match my volks.

these rims are meant to be ****ed up.

they are on my car now. im worried about the volks getting stolen now that its summer, i think ill roll on these for now.

once the potenzas wear out im replacing them with some cheap sumitomos.

Wait I am confused those are the 16" GT-S 5 star rims in the picture.. I thought you got his 15" GT rims?

In the gulf states (texas and stuff) GT rims look like that except in 15" and GT-S have those in 16". In other states GT-S have the 5 star twin spoke rims.

from what cani see from the pics looks nice. can u take a closer pic of the wheels? so we can see a lil better?? and by the way what type of paint you used and what were the procedures did you do thanks

Ahhhhh thanks for the clarification as I had no idea. Here in Canada you have the single spoke 16" rims on the GT-S and the double spoke 15" rims on the GT.

That is the only possibility so I was somewhat confused! :)
