Just spent the day installing a new hotwater heater. the old one sprung a terminal leak.

$250 and A LOT of sweat later, it is now running. I might be able to shower in in another 45 minutes.

I might have even done it right- my brother in law dropped the new one when we were lifting it to its home - about a 6-8 inch fall, he said he had it and all was well.

Hopefully that didn't crack the tank, otherwise this will turn into a 3 Hoosier job!

Well, I'm takin' hot showers, and there are no leaks. Looks like all is well.

The gas line plumbing is holding up too. It's a frightening sight though (it was scary before I worked on it).

Maybe some weekend I'll do it right (can't get parts on Sunday at 10 PM).

LOL! Scott is a pure auto-x junkie, pricing everything by car parts!
