What would it take to make a Subaru Justy fast enough to spank an RSX Type S, a 350Z, a '00 Corvette and an '05 Mustang GT?
Simple, a 285hp EJ20: The Justy-WRX (http://sites.rapidus.net/labrecqj/justywrx/english.html)

Nice. He says his best 1/4 mile time is 13.1, but I'm sure with 285hp and a weight of 2,180 lbs, he could do much better than that. Cool little project car though.

I know, right? It must be either traction or gearing issues that are keeping him that slow, one thing is fur sure: off the line he's damn quick! Did you see the video of him vs. the corvette? the 'vette didn't stand a chance!! :faint:

Yes, I watched that video. Looked like a very bad driver in the Vette who is horrible at launching. He definitely smoked that Vette though.
I don't think traction would be a problem for the AWD. I don't know why he doesn't do better than 13's.
Justy vs. Vette....for the lazy....

A lot of people don't know why somebody would put money into an old junker, but old junkers are fun project cars. About 20 years ago I bought an old Corolla from a junk yard for $50. Got it running and drove the hell out of it. Fun little car.
They are fun projects because they are cheap and you can actually have a 10 second car for very little money. Since the interiors are usually crap, you don't mind gutting them or chopping them up so you can get the car under 2000lbs.

Here is a 10 second Corolla with a 426hp 3T-GTE....

These old motors can also look very nice if you want....

Fully built 3T-GTEU....

You can build them for any type of racing you want....Drag, Autocross, Rally or drifting. This one was built for drifting....

I think that I would like to build one for rally racing. That would be a fun hobby.

Nice pics Eric!!
Someday in the future my celica will be my project car, it will get stripped to the bone, fresh coat of paint, and everything in there will be just how I want it. For now, it's my daily driver... but not forever.

Yes, I guess the Celica is also a fun project car. I wish that I would have left mine alone with just the basic mods though. It was a nice daily driver.
