Skunk Killer's blue conversion...

is anyone going to do this? i figured i would. and he's looking for a place so anyone have a suggestion? i live over by ucf so anywhere in that area would be good for me at least.

the price kinda sucks, but its not THAT bad. import intelligence needle kits are more than he's charging for the needles, and the lcd for 60 is worth it.

i donno, any comments?

id be interested in knowing how he does the cig lighter....

blue-bulb switchout?...or does he somehow color over the stock bulb....

sounds like he replaces all the stock amber LEDs w/new blue LED's. I noticed that the blue LED's are expensive on their own (anywhere from $2.50 - 5.00 a piece!!!). But many other colors (ie. green, red) can be bought at about $.25 a piece. I'm trying to track down some blue LED's and when I have time, I'ma guinea pig my own dashboard and do it myself. I'll let you guys know how it goes... At least his offers include install.

yeah...All my interior lighting is done except for the cig lighter....everythings blue...

just tryin to figure out the best way to change the cig lighter color...

anyone have any suggestions?...(besides skunk's deal)..

who did your conversion? where'd they get the LED's?

didnt use leds..

just some neon wires that i wired up behind the console & autometer fuel gauge..

import intelligence needle kit for the needles & gas/temp display...

and some transparent blue paper for the clock..

aftermarket headunit that has blue lights behind the buttons..

and all thas left is the cig lighter...anyone?

thats why skunk killer's deal is worth it. to do the import intellegence on both the needles and gas/temp, its just over 100 bucks. and thats you doing the install. and the lcd won't be that great. it'd be 110 for him to do this and it'd be nice and bright.

the center console can be done w/ other stuff but his is damn bright. same with the clock. you can use a blue filter but it'll be dim as hell.

also i think he does the two leds for the AC and the rear defrost. that'd be nice to have in blue too. and the cig lighter. those are a little harder to do on your own.

so anyways, who's in and where should we do it?

well as i've said, i'm still in. i've been trying to get some other people because i don't want you skipping orlando. you can do it in my apartment's parking lot if need be. a friend of mine might be home to let me borrow her driveway and all. i live right by UCF.

Any updates on his whereabouts? Tell him that I e-mailed him if he has a way of checking his mail if you see him PLEASE. There are a few of us who want him to stop off in eastern PA (along I-95) after he makes his stop on the way back up in VA. Maybe he has a cell phone #? If he does can someone get it for me?

Hey, He left my place late last night as he got stuck in some traffic and he had to do two conversions. He is on his way to Miami at this time and I think he's going to Houston after that. He has no cell phone or means of contact unfortunately. I would e-mail him regardless because he might be able to check his e-mail.
