I suggest that you research what they do and the differences between them before you ask questions like that.

:werd: http://www.plauder-smilies.de/happy/roflmao.gifand the search button on the top right will help you out to.
but to help you out.... none is provided for our cars yet, excep the TRD supercharger which is not legal here in the US, the blitz supercharger for the GTS and the ALT turbo for the GTS... you could always do your own custom one but that just means... $$$

I suggest the XS-Engineering Turbo Kit. My friend has one on his GTS and he spanks the Subaru WRX'S

i would hope so........who ever has that kit must run w/ stock S4 and ///M.........or even lightly mod'd(intake or even exhaust) S4's........he sould be running low 13'z i'm guessing???? do u have NE stats or his car? how much Boost, dyno, time slips........ect???
p.s- is there any way u can get picture or a clip of his motor?? i wish i could hear the spool and the blow off in that car!!! excuse me, i think i need some private time now:chuckles:

How many times do we have to talk about this topic? :ugh:
Supercharger: Great for normal driving, limited boost upgrade.
Turbocharger: Great for short racing, unlimited boost upgrade.
Both cost grip and you better be prepare to upgrade your engine internals as well.

First question - do you ace a GT or a GTS. If you have a GT your good to go - some people make turbos for it. If you have a GTS - well your SOL right now.
Really depends what kind of performance you are looking for. Superchargers start building power as soon as the engine turns over and give a great addition to lower RPM power.
Turbos build power starting a little higher in the RPM band, but its a lot easier to get a turbo that will flow a sick amount of air than a supercharger. Since it works of exhaust flow its also easier to mount because custom manifolds are way easier to do than pulleys and drive belts for superchargers. They are also a bit easier to tune.
Its impossible to say that one is better than the other simply because different people are looking for different things in their cars performance. I've personally always loved the super torquey boil the tires into nothing instant response power from a supercharger, but then again feeling the surge of acceleration when a properly tuned turbo spools up is also a wonderous thing to behold. Do some research and even better try to find some folks with turboed and supercharged cars in your area and try to get rides in them and feel teh difference for yourself.

Well I,ve called about five hundred phone #,s and this is it xs-engineering has one for $6000 and a 3 week wait cause it,s an in house project, and it will make about 240bhp at the wheels but but but if you lower your engines compression with pistons you can get a good bit more. Also and I,m talking about a GT-S here and a company called eiptunning.com has a bolt on kit for $5000-$8000 depending on the set up get. All this costs way to much $$$ for what you get.

Hmmm Turbocharge or Supercharge?
All depends on what you want to do man, and what would suit your driving style better.
While a turbo isnt exactly a plug-and-play option(if you plan on insane boost, piston, bearing and conrod replacement may be necessary along with the head gasket and head studs)and some work may have to be done, with a turbo charger you will lag at the lower RPM range dependant on your AR ratio and manifold design. To put it simply there will be a certain RPM range(say 850idle-3200RPM)before your start getting positive pressure in your manifold(boost threshold) The trick about using a turbocharger is to keep the revs up above the boost threshold; remember, it takes vital time to spool the turbo up again if you let the revs drop, also the reason why anti-lag systems exist.
A Supercharger is essentially the same animal, except driven by the belts, so you will experience no lag and have positive pressure in the intake manifold from the get go. The good thing is that since boost is instantenious you won't have to spool it before peak gains can be had. It can be a plug-and-play system depending on what manufactuter you're going with. Some superchargers include an intercooler option, which can come in handy.
The final decision id basically yours, would you like a S/C better for streetability, or drive around town below the boost threshold on your way to work every morning. :D
