Pull off the trim around the shifter. Remove all the knobs and the end of the vent slider from the HVAC panel. Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the HVAC panel and the two behind the big knobs. Then, just pull the rest of the panels off, starting from the bottom.

thanks Blue Bomber....can you help me out with one more thing? If i paint my center console (or the entire DASH TRIM), the AC part of the car (with the red & blue lines and other letterings-graphics) how do i replace those if i DO paint over them? Can i go to the dealer and order new sticker (or those graphics) that they have on the AC part of the Dash? Thanks in advance

The lettering and everything is actually painted onto the panel. The panel is really made of translucent white plastic. I doubt you'll be able to restore them after they're painted over. What most people are doing is just masking off the area and painting around it.

Yea, i figured that it couldn't be restored. What i was thinking of doing was just paint the Dash and restore the letterings by drawing them and get it done on stickers. Then all i'll have to do is stick it on. I think it will look nice. Dont you think? I will do it this weekend...i'll post up pictures for all to see when my project is complete.
but if you do that, the lights wont shine through...

If you can get a vinyl place to do it, they might be able to cut out the letters and icons on a piece of vinyl so they'll light up at night again. You'll still need to match the rest of the center console to the vinyl, though.

I'm surprised that no one has ever simply painted over them. I mean, after owning the car for a while you get a pretty good idea what direction is hot and cold and what position does what with the vents. I don't ever look at the little pictures when I am adjusting my heater controles anymore. As long as you don't paint the little line on the nob, you will still be able to see where the nob is in the dark. I say just paint over them, it would look better than having a silver area masked off IMHO.

Agreed...That's what I did (paint the entire thing over)
