alright, i plan on buying these lowering springs to give a fairly nice appearance to my Celica, http://www.cardomain.com/item/EIB42882
i was wondering what shocks would go best with these?? i keep getting told that if i dont match the right shocks to lowering springs, i will blow them rather quickly. if there are no shocks that go with these, since the drop is 1.8/2.4, what the lowest drop posible is while mathcing shocks, thanks

Any aftermarket shock will last longer than the stock one but none of them, for the celica, are built to handle anything lower than 1.5 inches. If you want shocks made for the sportlines then you'll need to have some koni yellows shortened to accept the 2 inch drop. I recommend just getting some aftermarket shocks and replace them every two years or so depending on your roads.

well i heard that any aftermarket shocks isnt good with these sportlines, since the drop is so low the aftermarket shocks cant take how low the shocks are. do a search also i know this topic has been talked about alot

Nope, they're not smart.

Aftermarket ones will last longer than stock since they are designed to handle a 1.5 inch drop from stock. It's better to get aftermarket ones than stock ones when your stock ones blow out. If you want to do it the correct way you'll need to get shorter struts/shocks to handle the 2+ inch drop.

1.5 is the most you want to drop with aftermarket shocks. You can maybe get away with 1.75. If you want to do 2 inch I recommend getting coilovers that are built for that. You could just replace the shocks every 2 years or so though, depending on the roads. And it's Eibach.
Ride your stock shocks out and then upgrade to aftermarket ones. I would get some with dampening adjustments. The more your shocks wear out the more of a bouncy ride you will have. Once the shocks blow they don't absorbe the bumps anymore and your springs will be doing all the work then. And it gets pretty bouncy.
