and an X3 this past weekend. The 330XI is one of the greatest cars all around I have ever driven. It had the sport package and basically everything except Navi, which I don't really need. The car had very smooth acceleration and stopped like no other. The handleing was also very tight and corners and turns had very minimal body roll. The headlamps were the sickness. They have motors to turn with the car to see through corners and such.
The X3 was very nice and drove much better than our Liberty. Handled just like a car and drove almost identical to the 330XI. The cars height was just under that of the Liberty and just above the 330 which was nice since it wasn't huge but also held the road like a car. The big selling point was the massive and I mean massive sun roof. It was as large as the entire roof and opened all the way too. 4 people could easily stand up through this roof. Overall a very good car but for the little extra money the X5 is more than worth it.
The X5 comes standard with all the things you would want to add onto the X3 and after adding them on the price becomes about the same as the X5. If the decision was soley mine, I would be going 330XI all the way, but it's not so, it's between the 330 and the X3 and if the deal is nice enough maybe the X5.
oh and to just throw this out there since this seems to be the way to test drive a car lately.... So I took the 330 up to 185 mph while blowing by several cops, who couldn't catch me as I slid through a turn doing 95 as I rushed back to the dealership. But don't worry no humans were harmed. Only several small animals were decapitated... :crazy2: :faint:
