When I have my system turned up, I hear more of my plastics and my hatch door rattling than the rear quarter panels...or at least I think I do. If any of you guys have dynamatted your hatch area, did you notice a difference? Would you do it again?
As it is now, I keep my bass down because it just sounds terrible in my hatch area...looking for a way to correct it.

it gets expenive- i used two of the big rolls and other than the price they also weight alot- i forgot how much but each roll was prett heavy. i would suggest just consitrating more on your trunk if you got alots of bass, and do what i do for the licence plate frame- puts some directly undre the place where the bolts are- also it does reduce the systems noise going outside that can be good or bad for some peeps.
i wouldnt go crazy with dyno mat at the cars front i would just put the left over stuff where its needed as its needed- one roll does your trunk just fine-

^ Yup, I could imagine how Dynamat will weight down the car. It's definately worth it though if you want to eliminate rattle a tad bit. So if the weight gain doesn't mean much, go for it.

I did my last celica. IMO...not worth it. Heavy and didn't stop the rattles. Try and isolate the plastic rattles and use felt washers on the clips and place a small piece of dynomat on the spots where the pannels contact the body. It did quiet the road noise slighty.

Maybe you can try to foam spray to fill up the spaces to physically stop the rattling.

no offense to you, but that is the worst thing you could ever do in a car, that stuff expands and if you spray too much, you will have one hell of a mess on your hands, dynamat is very effective when used and placed correctly, but as many have said it is heavy, if your more for sound than speed go for it, in my girls celica i have over 5 bulk kits installed, 2 of them just in the trunk, but she does sound competitions so we need all we can get in there, it is definately heavy stuff, but she can have the radi ono full volum and you will barely hear a peep outside tha car and definatly dont hear any rattling, your best bet if you dont want to invest a lot of money and weight in it is see if you can isloate the areas that it is the worst, but a dynamat trunk kit and just install it in the problem areas,
