View Full Version : Celica still more unique than WRX

I read somewhere (SCC magazine, I think) that Suburu makes about 50% of their USA sales in Colorado. And it seems about half of those Colorado sales are WRX's here in Fort Collins.

I can't believe how many of them that I see around here. There are easily more new WRX's than all the 2000-2002 Celicas combined in this area.

Yes, the WRX is a very nice car. Still, I can't imagine turning to glance back at it the way I do my Celica.

lol? What the hell is up with people in Colorado buying WRXs? Surely it's not the only car with AWD for all the mountain & snow driving.

I see about 20x the number of Celicas as WRXs. It just depends on where you live.

The only thing I like about the WRX is the front end. I like the way the lights are set up. That is pretty cool.

There are only 2 WRX's where I go to school.

It's kinda funny, people I have never met have recognized me as, "the guy driving around in that new subaru".

Jackson, Wyoming is Subaru heaven as far as I'm concerned. I don't think they allow other cars in that city.

there's so many Celi's around here....WRX's are pretty sparse.

but Morgantown has to be the Impreza L capital of the world......wow. i see soooo many Impreza L's around here, it's just mind blowing. those and Outbacks. people around here love their Outbacks http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smile.gif

The people that I know who own Suburu's are absolutely fanatical about them. They are very popular around here; their owners love them for winter driving, they run forever, and we have very good maintenance shops for them in the Front Range.

Suburus are also seen being driven by locals around the ski areas. The Outback wagon is especially popular.

Indeed. But my driving tends toward trips longer than 1/4 mile :-)

I wonder if the WRX drivers around here realize what a performance car they have? The drivers seem content to putt around; I've yet to see someone really drive one!
