whats the difference between....

a 17x7 and a 17x8 or rather which should i get if im trying to run a 225 or 215 /45

the 7 and 8 are width of the wheel in inches. if youre going with a 7" rim, prob the 215 would be a good bet. 225 on a 7" wheel would be kinda big. If you get the 8" wheel, I'd go with a 235 series if you could find some.

225 should fit fine on a 7" wheel.

I can't really see the point in getting an 8" wheel if a comparable 7" is available. 7.5" maybe, but I don't think the celica can make effective use of an 8" of wheel and the fat tire you could fit on it.
