yep i agree. I don't see too many broke ass celicas. Mainly I see civic's and teg's. Iirritates the **** out of me when they put all those name brand stickers on their cars and the thing looks like ****. Here's 3 examples of ricers that i've seen this week...

1. Mazda 6 had an SiR badge on it

2. Silver civic with typical buddy club kit. Funny part was that it had a vtec badge, missing side moldings so you can see the holes, gay looking euro tails, and a led light up exhaust when he stepped on the brake.

3. 99+ Neon with some whack ass euro clear tails and no emblems except one in the center that says "LEXUS." See that everyday almost

I saw quite a few Mustangs with the Nissan Skyline GT-R badge. Saw a few tiburons with Celica GT-S badges too.

hum... :hide: ..

yea esp those w/ primer all over their cars or bondo all over it. I COULD never imagine driving a POS like that around town. I wouldn't even take it off the parking lot or even get near it until I get it painted. Just hurts the eyes to even look at it. I don't see why ppl think its cool to drive your car like that. I can understand that you are TEST FITTING the parts, and READY to go to the shop and get it painted. That is understandable but if you are just driving the car daily..that's just lame.....

Some people just can't afford to do all the nice things that you guys do to their cars.
It's one thing if they try to hassle you on the road, but how would you feel if a "pos car" smoked you on the freeway? :chuckles: Just kidding.

Well...I understand if you can't afford. I'm sure that everyone had their days of just dreams of driving or owning a car. But, even though I was so broke ass before in High School.I would still just drive my dad's secondary car an automatic escort than to be in one car that's all primered w/ stock rims that has no hubcaps and all. Regardless of having money to soop it up or not. It's the idea of them doing it in the first place to their cars that is being bashed upon...."Simply, if you can't AFFORD to do it RIGHT..THEN Don't do it at all." :eatpop:

And ..Yeah those so called "sleepers" or whatever they address themselves as or so I heard. :bang: I have NEVER or at least not yet raced on the street, especially not in Hawaii. Even though I've been tempted in doing so numerous times. After countless deaths in street racing and with alll the cops out there now days about every mile of the road i've seen one or two; ITs not worth it!! Money aint easy to earn..and I intend on using it for something better than speeding tickets and court..

uhhh they can't afford it? if they can't afford it then why are they buying parts for it? and don't they have the stock part for their car? can't they just wait until it's painted before installing it. i think that's so gay. trying to show off something you don't really have...... like people who put on half altezza lights or 2 rims =P wtf.................. trying to be pimp or something.... i think i would rather catch the bus than to be caught dead in a car like that.

I would have to agree that most people out there with a POS car are just trying to get their ride to look like it has some value. But most of the guy/gals that have rides that aren't quite hooked up right are working at some fast food rest just trying to make due with their monthly bills. Its easy to sit there and laugh about how these lil ricers look like ****, but at the end of the day that persons ricer is probably all they have....

thats true, ya got to see the whole picture not whats in front of you.

its like this story my nursing instructor told me.
no support from parents + intermediate level education
pregnant mom comes in hospital with ice overdoes.
mom takes ice trying to abort the baby.
she already has one kid. husband has no job and doesnt do ****.
mom is the one working her ass off paying bills to take care
both her husband and the kid. for her to bring another child in this world, she knew she couldnt afford it and she doesnt have any family support so she takes ice to abort the baby.

at this point can you really blame her for what she's doing?
in her situation she thinks thats the best thing she can do...

In my opinion, choosing to take ice for an abortion is wrong. Abortion is wrong in the first place, playing god is wrong. There will never be a RIGHT excuse for it. Ever.

well your just looking at abortion, what if you was in her situation?
its probably hurt her to do it, but dude she does care about her first child...
whether she was wrong or right, she felt that was her best judgement at the time.

okay..this is me if I was in her situation..1. I wouldn't take ice. 2. I wouldn't have thoughts of abortion regardless of my situation. WHY you might say? Because if you are NOT RESPONSIBLE ENUFF, to use a condom or any type of protection what so ever. Then you are liable for the baby, regardless of you being RICH as hell or POOR as dirt, hell THEY even give free condoms, somewhere if I recalled....And yet, you still going to tell me its her best judgement? what about umm..raising some funds? or...charity or..umm..walking on the side of the road and holding up a cardboard box *a lot of ppl make a living doing this so I dont see why not*, there are a lot of things you can do to help out the situation..it's all in the word of "WILLINGNESS"..no get mad at me now..it's just my opinion on this.

for me..i think it was dumb of her to do that..... just bc she takes ice doesn't mean she will kill the baby....what if she give birth to a baby premature and addicted to ice? that will cost more than a healthy baby. there are so many resorces to be used these days.. so many people to go for advice.. honestly...that shows how irresponsible she is. she could kill herself..leave her child motherless. and if she knew that she didn't have money to have another baby maybe she should go on birth control pills or use a condom..

First of all, no one should judge another persons actions if they have never been through what that person is going through. I know a few former "ice" addicts and they all had to decide to take of themselves before taking care anyone else.

Second, this thread is about CARS. I have an ugly looking car. It's really old. The engine is being finished so maybe it will run good... Now. So, don't make fun of cars that look like crap. I have one. For now. :p:

In my opinion, I don't think abortion is all that bad. To me, a baby isn't a baby until it comes out of the mother at birth. I have a couple friends that have had abortions before and I think it was in their best interest to do them. They would have never lasted if the let the child be born. But like I always say, people always make mistakes and you shouldn't judge them on their past mistakes. Everyone needs to let go of the past and just move on to the future. As for the mother who smoked ice to kill the baby, I think that was very irresponsible for her to do that. If she didn't want the baby she should have just gotten an abortion, not smoke ice. But I'm not going to dog on her for smoking ice to kill the baby. She probably thought it was the best thing she could do in her situation and I can understand that. I've been in the drug game before and I know what it's like. I'm out of it right now and so are some of my friends but I have many other friends, and I'm talking about close friends like the ones you grew up with, who are still in it. I feel bad for them and I pray that one day they realize the mistakes they are doing. It's funny how we all can make comments about topics like this from an outsider's point of view but can we really follow through on our comments if things like this happened to us? I can honestly say that if I were going through some of the problems that I see others go through, then it would be hard for me not to turn to drugs to get through life. Drugs and abortion will always be the easy way out. It's not the right thing to do but it will always be the easiest way out. But this is all just my opinion and I hope no one gets mad at me for that.

People are still getting wrong about this thread. It's not about the type of car you drive. It's WHAT you do to it. Get that part straight. Who cares if you drive a 84 corolla all bust up ready to go into the junk yard w/ smoke coming out of the engine and tailpipe. That's not what we are getting at here. BUT what would be the point in us to have a word is simply this. You have that 84 corolla, all rust and stuff. Your daily of daily driver, yet you still decide that perhaps slapping on those variety of unpainted bodykits and z3 fenders that you salvaged the night before so that the car can look better while you are driving it around. And also bondo up all those holes/rust you might also have and leave it like that. "Ah, might as well primer it so I can paint it 5-10 years from now when I have the money." Now that is why we say what we say. :p:

slopokegts

i only have one word for the abortion thing... adoption.

and to the point of the thread...it depends what you consider a POS car. i consider a POS car one that don't work. i don't care if it looks hot as hell...in car shows they have awesome looking cars, but if they say "oh the engine isn't working properly right now" then to me that's a POS car. that's just my opinion. as to why people do things half-assed...i'm not sure why. maybe it's a temporary fix. just like how i had to drive without my rear bumper trd kit till i could get the exhaust back to normal. i felt like an idiot because you could see the holes where the kit oritinally was...but for one...it was temporary, and two it was for the sake of having turbo...so i could give a $hit if someone laughed at it while i drove it. hell i laughed at it cuz it looked funny!

although...there are a lot of things that don't make sense and boggle my mind.

oh and has any of you driven around with a spare tire??!? it looks funny as hell on our cars!!! i don't know if i can upload the pic my girlfriend has on her phone...but she couldn't stop laughing.
