New info on the U240E from Toyota:
"U240E High-torque 4-speed Super ECT automatic transmission. U-series Super ECTs have a new geartrain design with fewer shift elements and rotating components for reduced internal friction and improved fuel economy. "Super" designates a transmission with smoother shifting (due to direct-clutch fluid pressure control) and quicker response (as a result of centrifugal fluid pressure canceling) than conventional electronically-controlled transmissions."
