Is this a synchro problem?

I'm driving a 2000 GTS, and every time I do a quick shift from 4th (high RPM) to 5th, it grinds and has a hard time going in. When I shift into it slowly, it doesn't do it. I guess it could only be my synchros?

Would Toyota replace it if I tell them it's only when I shift quickly or do I have to wait until the problem gets worse?

Yepz..sounds like a problem.

Though I've had a slight grind from 5th to 4th since I bought my car, and had it taken to the dealership 3 times. They never fixed it, but I've got the records for it, so if it goes bad anytime soon, their azz is mine.

Still, I'd try and get it fixed if it's a NOTICEABLE problem everytime.

Mine only happens occasionally as in every month or so.
