im going to buy an injen intake for my celi i wann know the diff betweemn
injen race division intake and
short ram intake

i know the race division one in the long one that extends to the bottom of the car for more air...but what if it rains or sumthing i dont have the bottom pieces so water could go into it

is the short ram any good?

and will the intake affect my MPG

It won't hurt unless the filter gets completely submerged. Hydrolock is very rare but still possible.

Short ram is still very good.

Yes, it will affect your gas mileage, but not enough to make me worry about it. You are increasing the amount of air into your engine, and it will burn more fuel ----> making more power.

go with the cai skip the short ram just get the splash gaurd

In many applications, intakes can actually IMPROVE economy during normal driving.

I never gave mine a chance to find out; I've been on it hard for the year I've had my AEM CAI installed....

Go with the CAI, not only does it increase the amount of air in the engine but it is also colder air, Cold air= more Oxygen, More Oxygen = better burning power.

The CAI will affect your gas MPG cause your gonna be living above 6K.
The Injen CAI is awesome!

painted it with $5/can metallic spray paint from home depot. Its been on there for about 1 year and 3 months, never had a problem...no flaking, no chips. Just cleaned the plastic w/ soap and water then started spraying, no primer or anyting
