Hey , who was I running with tues night on 290?. I know you told me your name...but i forgot... i know you had a TRM exhaust..... Where'd you get it and hgow much..

His name is Robert A. Bang. The A stands for Ass. He has my old TRM exhaust, I think when everything gets broken down for what he paid for my stuff....it comes to like $60 for the TRM exhaust :)

Oh, and btw Black, I went to school at Nichols. We should meet up when im down there visiting my boys.

actually it was 62.93 but i didnt do the math til now....
so yea i guess i got a good deal....that and it was the first night tim hit on me....his parents were out of town...it was late...and i think he got confused... :wave: :wiggle:


ok enough of that....
im also sporting tims CF hood scoop and his 1st gen Injen CAI....
(i have a 3rd gen Injen for sale...most likely without filter...REAL CHEAP...but i can include a used injen filter for alittle more)
his TRD CF knob (shutup about the knob thing)

his FI hood and RMM wing are in his basement....but they are going in the ocean next week in memory of liquid legend

strut bars are in box and sitting in the corner of my room...and his TRD fuel door i think i lost.....but its bound to show up sooner or later


so in other words....this is what is left of the legend....although my cars curse has not yet been lifted...i ran over another homeless guy last week.....but i wont get into that

nothing happened to my car. This is what happened. I have been getting bored of the Celica for awhile towards the begining of last semester. I was starting to look around to see what was out there and I fell in love with the VW mark :) I was driving home for some break, forget which it was and on the way home I mis-shifted 4-3 cause i was a complete moron and thought I was in 2nd for some unknown reason (prolly thinking of Rob :gay:) so I wanted to get rid of the car before anything happened. That weekend I got rid of the celica and got my Jetta. Although I miss the roar of my lift kicking in, I love the sound that replaces it :)

Nothing is left of the Celica, although I still have my TRD seatbelt pads...I think im gonna put them in the Jetta though :confused:

im not selling anything that i got from tim
my car is still under sonstruction...i just take hella long to do anything....

the injen i ordered before i found out that i would have 2 intakes when i got the one off tims car
so i just installed the 1st gen one so i wouldnt have to cut the ecu cooling tubes

the injen i could part with for prolly $50 without filter...it will come with everything EXCEPT the filter
but since you already have an intake
we could see if that filter will fit the injen

i like the TRM though....im gettin used to the looks of it....the power seems to be nice....but the ecu is still learning the new fuel curves....

i just thought about our run tonight....i didnt think about it til i got home....you're 4th gear cut out around 103mph???? i get around 110....you must love your 2002 rev limit

actually
tim loved my style so much he'd come to me asking about what he should get...then get it....just to piss me off....

then i got it after he sold his car for a good deal.....so i let tim touch my ass for free every now and again now....i figure its the least i can do for the poor kid....if you have questions...both me and tim have good taste....thats why we make such a good couple....

only thing he didnt ask about was the ricey exhaust that im stuck with....it is growing on me though

oh...and me and tim got busted for burnouts one night too....this was as he was selling liquid legend.....im actually not allowed up at nichols anymore....but thats not stopping me....

we should have gotten pics/vids that night.....blue lights coming through a huge cloud of tire smoke....and all the idiots telling us to do break-stands in a FWD car.....

nc.org bar is cheap....and thats what i got

i got the front in red....and the rear 3 point in red....the front is installed now....i got bored a few minutes ago....

really easy install on these.....and they really help steering response and handling

GROSS! That C-One wing is atrocious!! I saw it in person at HID last year and its god-awful ugly.

Anyways heres my full on opinion of what you should get:

Intake:

Get rid of that NAKAMICHI crap and get an Injen. The AEM nice but I dont like their pretzelish design. The Injen looks great in the engine bay and also provides excellent gains. Although you need to cut the ECU tube for the latest gen (so stupid) its still a good choice

Exhaust:

Get either a TRM or the Blitz exhaust. I forget the name off the top of my head. They are both stainless steel and wont get corroded/rusty in the MA weather. They are light (for an exhaust) and both provide awesome gains. They sound good too.

Suspension:

I _LOVED_ my Tanabe precedo springs. The drop was perfect (I think) with my 17s. Although, when they break in they are sorta bouncy. Im not sure about shocks, i dont know if they are out or not. I havent been following the Celica scene that closely lately.

Cusco lower tie bar, a MUST.

Strut bars, go with the Hyperperformance onces, RacinJason sells them here on the boards. He is currently redisinging them and not sure when the new ones are coming out. PM him. They are also referred to as the NC.org strut bars.

Sway bars, Tanabe makes some, and I believe Cusco and Hotchkis do as well. Stay away from the APC crap. Ask around about the sway bars. Not sure which is hot on the market right now.

Short-shifter:

B&M or TRD, not much difference between the 2, I had B&M and I loved it.

Rims:

Get a nice set of 17s to compliment the drop. www.wheelmax.com and www.rim1.com have some excellent prices on rims. Dont bother with 18s, they will get messed up on the MA roads big time.

now on to appearance.

First off, get rid of those amber sidemarkers ASAP. Also, that red overlay kit and red grill you have, those need to go. You need to decide on what color scheme you want to go on. Stick to 2 colors, black and another color. Multiple colors look like ass IMO. I went Silver/Red with mine. Black/green is a nice combo, but can also look atrocious if over done.

2nd, dont get a body kit/wing until you are done with performance mods. Function before Fashion. The money spent on a bodykit/wing combo could easily be spent on performance stuff. Its worth it in the end.
