I need to replace the right side rear view mirror but I don't know how to remove the door plastics. I popped off the two round plastic covers and removed those bolts. It feels like the plastic panel can just pull off but there's a LOT of resistance. What am I missing? Is there a bolt or something under the cloth insert? I tried pulling that piece off but it didn't want to budge either.

Is that the only remaining screw to remove and then I can just pull the whole panel off? What about the handle or the lock?

ok I just removed mine and here is how it goes on the inside of the door there are the two platic things with screws under them then there is on in the cubby under the armrest there are another two at the bottom of the door and then it is snapped into place a little in the back as well as in the front and there is alot of resistance on the front, the spot is right when you put your finger on the rubber thing that touches the window glass and then run it tell there are only 3 inches left before the beggining of the door there is something like a clip or something kind of holding it there just slide the thing up and be gentle trying to work it out of that problem area and you have got it

See my photobook at http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4292353827 for pics of the screw locations. You also have to pop off the black plastic triangle piece that is just inside of where the mirror meets the door. Get you fingers behind the top corner and pull out and down. After you remove the 6 screws holding it there are 5-6 plastic clips along the edges that will just pop off. It is easiest to remove the panel if the window is down, beacuse you have to lift it up as you are taking it off.
