View Full Version : How do I get this damn thing off? HELP!

The friggin dash. I can't seem to figure out how to take off the airbag. There is no battery hooked up at all, so there's no way of this thing going off, right? The car goes to Philly Friday night, so I'm going to have the entire interior done in black vinyl like the XS Celica. But I'm having troubles getting the damn dash off. HELP!

be extra careful man, those things are trippy. One of my friend ended up in the hospital because the airbag deployed, he disconnected the battery and all and when he was about to cut the sensor wire, the airbag just poofed, knocking him unconscious.

He was gonna do a dvd project on his Corolla by taking out the airbag and putting the dvd inside it.

And that's what's going through my mind. One think to think about though is that right no, there is no engine, no battery, no nothing in there. But I'm just worried that a battery isn't needed. I dunno. :/

I think the airbag have a back up battery or has it's own power supply or something???

I dunno, maybe it can be static that caused my friends car airbag to deploy
