ok, I was going back to oakland from sac. and it was mid day i was going about 85-80 and i noticed that there were four high patrol pulling three diffrent cars over and one of them i guess was done giving the ticket and jumped right on the freeway and pulled me over like right when i was driving by, by the time i got to that part of the highway the traffic was going around 65-70 because of all the high patrol, anywayz this dick pulled me over and told me you were cought by the aircrafted going 82mile hr. the plane caught you south of highway 10 or some **** like that and gave me a ticket no questions like you know how fast you were going or any bull like that and i was like fookn dik. so i got out of my car after he went to his car and went infront of my car and started to smoke a cig, i know they have to wait til you drive off before the hit the highway again, so i thought i was be a dik an he told me what are you doing? i was like smokn a cig, he's all, you cant do that here, i was like ooook.. i knew i couldnt but fook it..
So yeah my question is can i fight it.. cuz they pulled me over like 3miles from where they said the plane caught me.. is there like a max miles that they have to catch you? thanks if you can help!

where did you get pulled over at? Getting pulled over anywhere in contra costa, cops are going to be dicks. I never knew there were actual aircrafts that clock speeds, i always saw the signs but i always thought the signs were for intimidation purposes.

2nd. If they caught you, just pay the fine. It's not like you were following the law or anything.

You can hire a lawyer and see what that'll do, but it won't do much with the aircraft stuff. They've been doing that up here for awhile and those are the hardest ones to fight. They time you between markers and do an equation and come out with a number. If you can get your lawyer to find the work and find an error in the math is basically your only out. But you just admitted to being the 80s so I don't think it'll work ;)

Don't pay it and take it to court. It's worth fighting, unless you love points on your license and giving the government money. Not to mention getting raped by your insurance provider.

I wouldnt advise fighting it. My brother tried to fight his case in his 05 RSX-S and just ended up losing and paying more money then he was originaly fined. So just pay the fine and get it over with.

How is that? He admittedly broke the law and were caught. Now he comes here pissing and moaning about it. What did you expect? A hug? A pity party just for him? So what if the policeman wasnt nice to him. Cry us a friggin river...
He even saw the police on the side of the road with people pulled over. Yet he still maintained your speed. Most people would have had the common sense to slow. Not that it would have helped him any.
Go ahead and get a lawer. Then he will get slapped with the fine AND the bill for the lawyer.

Just because it happened to your brother doesn't mean it happens to everyone. It is worth a shot to get atleast the points removed. Pay a lawyer and you have a greater chance of winning. I'd never just pay a moving violation, it's just dumb.

I agree, and since you are a Californian, you can go to traffic school (can be done online) and have your point removed from your license. The information should come with your ticket (in the mail).

You were speeding.
You were given a speeding ticket.
Shut up and stop whining...pay the ticket and move on.
...why do some people think the first thing they should do when they get caught breaking the law is post about it on the internet.
...even if 500 people responded...y0 man dats nutz!...fight that sheit!...they can't do that!!
What good does that do in court?

*sigh*
Accept the consequences of your actions. You were speeding and were caught, stop trying to take a coward's way out. You're not sticking it to "the man," or any delusional theory like that. Tickets are not given out because they're a source of revenue, they're given out as a way to get people to not break the law. How else should they penalize you for speed, running a stop sign, violating smog laws, etc so that you'll listen and not do it? Should they impound your car? Give you jail time? What do they have to do so that you'll learn not to break the laws?

Yeah I got a ticket doing 140kmh in a 110kmh zone. Cop pulled 2 of us over. I had to peel the tint off my windows. He gave me the ticket and siad you can fight it if you want, there's the court date. I just said, I was speeding I got caught, whats to fight.
I had checked out the fines months ago. 30kmh over was $160 so I thought yeah I can afford that. The ticket was $140 so I saved $20. lol
Suck it up. LOL don't do the crime if you can't do the fine.
