Judges Will Be Writers For 'The Tonight Show'
The mass customization of individual expression, better known as vanity or personalized license plates, celebrates its 65th anniversary this year. In observance of the event, Eagle One, a leading marketer of premium vehicle appearance care products, is holding a contest to find the most humorous plate on the highways of the 50 states.
Eagle One will award $5,000 to the grand-prize winner who will be selected by writers for NBC-TV's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." The company will also award $100 and an assortment of its products to the person whose plate is selected the best in each of the other states represented.
"Vanity plates are a part of Americana and this contest is designed to recognize the originality and sense of humor that tickles the fancy of most people," said Tony Puckett, v.p. of Eagle One.
Entries will be accepted from May 1 through June 30, 2002. To enter, visit www.eagleone.com. Winners will be notified by August 16, 2002.
