Scion/Toyota Meet at Harriman State Park - Saturday, April 22nd (Bear Mountain, NY)

That's right. All Toyota and Scion are welcome; Scikotics is hosting The Spring Scion/Toyota Get Together at Harriman State Park, starting at 1:00PM!

I repeat:

Where: Harriman State Park--Anthony Wayne Recreation Area (http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/print.asp?parkID=73), second (UPPER!) lot!

What: Any and all Scion and Toyota model (and Lexus too, I would suppose)

When: April 22nd at 1:00pm until whenever!

Help spread the word, let's make this big! If we can get a big list of attendees made up I will try to get some vendors to come, too!!!

Additionally we will be running a Cruise Thru the Park at 3:00pm, whereafter we can head off to the Palisades Mall for some food and refreshments!

Last time I checked, Celicas are Toyotas. All Scions, Toyotas and Lexuses (Lexii?) are invited to attend this meet (as per the OP at the top).

I was hoping that's sufficient relevance to post here and welcome you guys, but if I'm wrong just let me know and I'll stop posting here.

I can't say I'm a definite because I've already committed to the meet on the 23rd, but if I can get both days free, I'll try and make it to both.

I know some people have been asking for some specific directions. You can enter the Bear Mountain zip 10911 in Yahoo maps and this will get you 2 exits north of the meet location. I will try to give some specifics....

Coming from NJ... Take the Garden State Parkway to 87 south/east, to the Palisades Parkway North... get off at exit 17.

Coming from Long Island and NYC... Take the GWB (95) to the Pallisades Parkway North.. get off at exit 17.

From Upstate NY... Take NYS Thruway (87) south to exit 16(Harriman). Pay toll, then immediately exit the highway(on right). Make a left onto 32. Goto 3rd light and make left onto route 6. Follow route 6 up the mountian, keeping right on route 6. At the traffic circle make the second right onto the pallisades parkway. Exit 17 will be immediately ahead.

From Western NY... Use route 17 east to the exit for route 6 (Bear Mtn, exit 131A?). Follow route 6 directions above.

From Conn.... Utilize I95 to I287 west. Go over the Tappan Zee bridge. After several exits you will see the Pallisades Parkway North. Follow that to exit 17.
*OR *take I84 W to I87 south and follow the upsate NY directions above.

From Westchester... Use the 1st Conn. directions.

From Northern Westchester and Putnam county... Cross the Bear Mountain Bridge onto the traffic circle. Second turn is the Pallisades Parkway. Follow to exit 17.

From all points north of I 84... use I 84 to 87 south and then follow the upstate ny directions above.
Just to add... don't forget we are in a state park and all the appropriate rules/laws apply. Clean up after yourselves too. This facility has restrooms, but the nearest food/gas is about 15 minutes away, so take care of such necessities prior to the meet :)
