Ok, i just went to their site. www.buddyclub2.com and ive noticed they have 3 different kind of splitters. I can see the first one is the simple kind. I wanted to get either the second or third splitter. now what is the different between those 2. I dont understand. Thanx

Think again.
It's just a thin layer of c/f with fiberglass underneath.. it's about 4mm thick with a slightly bent edge.

I almost bought if but was very unimpressed with it so I let it go

the buddy clubs are premade
i made mine i bought a cf sheet and traced it out on my lip and cut it with a dremel.
i dont recomend anybody doing that it took a long time to get it right. my car is low and ive scrapped it a few times nothin happens

i just thought of something. why dont i get the splitter and then ill take that and trace it on sheet metal and stick that on the bottom of the splitter. it sounds crazy but what do you think.

for all you guys with real low cars, either of these options will add service life to your splitters if you drag them on the road now and then

you can get a thin piece of teflon sheet and attach it to the bottom of your carbon splitters using small bolts and fender washers.

or if you yourself, or you know someone who does composites, do like we do on the race car and have a piece of heavy kevlar laminated to the bottom.

we use the kevlar because its lighter and it makes the carbon splitter stronger.

the kevlar also has the added bonus of holding the splitter together in case it takes a real shot, keeping the thing some what together instead of splintering apart

when it does scrape it just scrapes the bolts that hold it on on bottom not the actual cf.

I have the bc2 splitters (2 piece), and the hotchkis competiton drop springs as a drop....I scrape a decent bit being as I'm here in tennessee and the roads are terrible. I haven't had any crasking issues yet but I will also probably cut a piece of thin sheetmetal for the bottoms as a reinforcement. Also, the bc2 pieces are a layer of carbon fiber with fiberglass underneath......I'll post pics later if I don't get rained out

i have the bc2 step splitter. its not flat, its cut with a little lip on the bottom, so if you were to put a metal sheet on the bottom, it wouldnt be effective until you wore the lip down.

i called APR. they are in Walnut CA

$320 which includes all you need for install (not incl shipping, but you can pick up)
Put your bumper on a cardboard sheet, trace around the front end and send that to them

Then wait 2-3 weeks to manufacture, another week for shipping if needed
