HELP PLEASE! MAG fitting help

hi

i am going to get some 17x7 5/100 40mm offset mags... will i have ANY problems fitting this onto a 2002 celica GTS?

how would they sit compared to the factory 16x6.5 5/100 38-39mm offset factory mags?

I just got some 18x8 5/100 40mm offset and 215/35zr18 tyres- good or bad?? will it rub in any driving conditions? handelling?

30 would be best. The wheels you want to get will look the same as the stock ones (postition wise). They'll be slightly tucked in.

hi thanx... one question about the 40mm offset... would they rub at all under any conditions? would handeling be better or worse?

They wont rub at all. Handling would be a little better since you'll have a smaller sidewall tire than stock (it'll be more stiff).

Mate :chuckles: I love australians. With a 7 inch wide wheel a +30 offset would look flush with the fenders. You start getting a higher offset than that and wheels start going in. If you get a +40 offset then the wheel will tuck in 10mm more than a +30 offset one. If you get a +50 offset then the wheel will tuck in 20mm mores. With the wheel and offset you want to get now it'll look similar to the stock wheels. You wont rub though unless you are dropped very very low.

The salesman talked me into a set of 18x8 inch, 5/100 40 offset mags with 215/35zr18 tyres. (yet to be fitted) will this rub at all under any driving conditions? handelling? ride quality?

OR do you think i should go with the 17x7 40mm offset mags with 215/40zr17 tyres?
