I've had this problem for the longest time, and I'm just wondering if anyone else experiences the same thing and can lend some insight.

Almost every morning when I reverse my car out of my garage, then put it in 1st to drive away I hear a single *clack* sound from the front of the car. Almost sounds as if something has fallen off, broken, or snapped. I thought maybe the suspension was shifting or something to that effect, but after swapping everything out for the coilovers, I still have this problem. Everything works perfectly of course, but it just seems odd to have that sound all the time. I've owned several manual shift cars and this is the first one to exhibit this.

I'm not too worried about it, but I would like to know what's going on.

It may be your brake pads shifting. My car has been like that for the longest time. There is a TSB for this. Dealer uses some brake grease.

Check it out in the TSB forum.

i get that too!!! i think its the exhaust flexing where i put on the TRM. Because i didnt start getting it until i installed it. I think i need to get longer bolts because using the stock ones dont quite seal properly.

thanks dudes! That does make a hella lotta sense, it sounds exactly like something in that area shifting, I did suspect the pads also -- I believe the question has been answered! At least the TSB says it's normal. I can live with it. ;)
