Am I All Alone?

I was just looking at some pictures of someones Celica GT, and the person originally had no spoiler on the back and then must have gone out and bought a Stock GT-S Spoiler.
Here is my question...I personally like the look without the spoiler. Most of them aren't functional, and the look off the back is sleeker. AM I ALL ALONE ON THIS ONE?!?!? Look at high end sports cars, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Masserati, the Lamborghini Murcielago and some Diablos, Corvette, Porsche(some of them)...They don't have spoilers at all! And DAMN do they look good.
I guess it is all image and personal prefrence...but why put on a spoiler (especially those REALLY BIG ones), most of which are not even functional, on a car that looks just fine without it? I think some of them just look BAD! (Like the big aluminum ones you see on Civics). I have very little respect for those spoilers that are NON-FUNCTIONAL! How much extra downforce are you really going to create on a front wheel drive car with a big wing on the back of it? Now if the car is being used for racing purposes and the person purchases a spoiler that has been tested for aerodynamics and purpose-full ness, and acctually does something...then i feel that is respectable.
Please let me know if i am the only one that thinks this.
If I am...well...i guess i am a loser and am not cool becuse i don't want to put a spoiler on my car just for looks.

The spoiler was an option on the GT and I believe it was standard on the GT-S (not sure), so it's not like he bought a GT-S spoiler -- just a spoiler. I like the look of them. I think Celicas look funny without them, and I have only seen 2-3 without a spoiler.

I'm not a big fan of the huge wings on the back thought. They are OK if it's a RWD racecar but like you I don't see the point of them on the Celica. Maybe it's for looks but I don't like the look.

Yeah, I know that some of the later GTs came with the spoiler...but in the pictures he showed that there was a point where he had NO spoiler...then in later pictures it had the GT-S spoiler. It just kinda struck me as strange.

Thanks for agreeing with me on the whole 'huge fin on a celica' thing.

P.s. - I like the truck XYR. My neighbor has one of the older Lightning trucks, and the new ones are even faster from what i have heard.

Spoilers are options on all celica's, they just all come with them because the dealerships know every one will want one. Kind of like the sunroof. I didn't want the damn sunroof on my car but I had to get one unless I was willing to wait for months for the arrival of "special ordered" Celica. So I paid a bunch more for a sunroof that I don't want and never use, I've never even pushed the sunroof button on my Celica before, oh well.

I think Celica's look really good without spoilers. When I was getting my custom paint job I considered having the holes filled and the spoiler removed. I posted a poll to see what people think of Celica's without spoilers and the results overwhelmingly supported that Celica's look better with spoilers.

Ah, is that what it was? The spoiler was a package deal with the sunroof? I know there was some sorta options package that didn't make sense.

Celicas look ugly w/o spoilers... except I saw one with a veilside kit it was silver w/o spoiler and it looked good. Maybe it was just because it had a veilside kit, that is very possible

i have a silver celica and it had no spoiler. i didn't really like it. and people were always saying i needed a spoiler. car looks 100 times meaner with my wings west kit and spoiler. but i like white ones without spoilers. maybe black too? black looks really good with a spoiler though. without they look a lot like the rsx, which i don't think i've ever seen with one...
