91-99 MR2s: Who's Got One?

I do! :) Red '93 Turbo.

Mods from previous owner:
- Intake
- 3" crush bent custom exhaust with fart can (doesn't sound bad, though)
- Manual boost controller @ 10psi
- H&R springs
- Black painted stock rims
- Red interior lighting
- 10" sub w/ Alpine amp

Since then:
- 00+ stock Premium stereo (perfectly matches interior)
- Red interior lighting
- Optima red top
- Lightning Audio 5.25" front speakers

Near future plans:
- 3" mandrel bent custom exhaust with dual center outlet (like Vmax)
- 3" mandrel bent custom semi-divorced downpipe (not sure if I'll be running a cat)
- CT27 or better turbo
- 94+ exterior: updated tails and center panel, painted side moulding and front/side/rear lower moulding, 1pc spoiler
- Buff out some faded paint
- Clear corners
- Gunmetal painted stock rims, then...
- 17" Gunmetal rims (PITA to find staggered at affordable prices :thumbdown )
- Cibie H4 headlight conversion (sealed beams suck worse than ricer bulbs :ugh: )
- Wet Okole fitted seat covers

Pics coming when the paint is buffed out and I lose teh fart can. :chuckles: My current p0wer goal is to reach as close to 300whp as possible, without having to alter the stock fuel system. I'm getting 27-30mpg right now, so I don't want it to drop off too far. ;)

Who mods the frunk? Perhaps a shiny spare tire...or a red top.
I guess the HID ballasts are in the frunk.

The list of mods is longer than my leg...but I might be able to put together something useful. The interrior is not part of my current project, so other than stereo and gauges the interrior is basically stock. No point in having a $20,000 interrior if you are still getting beat by Corvettes IMO. :D

I mounted all the stereo amps and crap in the trunk on a vertical board. So I still have loads of trunk space...and the spare tire is in its prefered location.

Get some constant tension T clamps from McMaster.com (page 232). :) They use a spring to maintain tension through hot and cold, and won't strip like crappy worm drive clamps. The previous owner of my MR2 kept having problems with the hose at the compressor outlet never sealing properly, but these clamps solved that problem on the first shot. :thumbup:

I had a 91 Turbo. Fun car... just wasn't practical in Michigan.
