This was not really a race so much as it was just sort of a thing that happened...

I was behind this m5 in a 45mph zone. He slowed down just a bit and not really thinking about it i decide to jump out an pass him.

I just happened to be in the sweet spot in 2nd gear (wondered really if i was going to get to play, but thought he changed his mind when he started to slow down).

Anyway just as i change lanes this guy nails the gas... i'm like No way... its on with an M5...

slam the gas hit 18psi in an instant and start to match speed... shift into 3rd, and go by... he is hanging his hand out the window giving me thumbs up....

Sweet car... think he would trade?

Yeah, I want a new car. I have a 1G that is my project car. The 2G is still awesome and runs great and I would hate to see it go, but a nice brandee new car would be cool. Too bad nothing out there really grabs me and now that I have driven around in a decently quick car for 3 years, next to nothing that I can afford (or afford to modify) will be fast enough for me. Oh well...

This isn't really race related, but Nathan, I finally took my car up to some altitude this weekend, I can't beleive how power robbing Denver / Mountains are. My car wouldn't really do much past 90 mph on I-70. I guess you have to tune your car specifically if your gonna be up there long term, but wow, I feel sorry for anybody just driving through in a less ballsy car than mine...

On a sadder note, Colorado caused me to need a new foglight (rocks) and possibly a new windsheild. That thing is Candyshell thin.

Welcome to my world. People do not belive me when i say it robs power from us...

Think about running 12.3 up there and what that would be like at sea level.

Honestly, I would guess that my car FELT more than 2 seconds slower to sixty. I would imagine you'd add a LOT of speed to your times. Low 11's for sure :)

Side note, I saw more Subaru's in Colorodo than I could count, but only 2 WRX's, and one blew by me like I was standing still. Must have been tuned for the altitude. Hehe, on my website I have photo's of 4 people, 3 sets of ski's a snowboard and luggage all fitting into my sedan, pretty comfortably.
