I guess those of us who get the '03 won't have to worry about Super Plasmas or Extreme Whites...
The 2003 Celica will have HID as an option.
Too bad for those of us now...
How do I know, you ask? I have access to the Toyota employee vehicle order website (those of you at TMS will know) and the 2003 spec shows HID as an option.
Unfortunately there's nothing else that's new.

ok thats it im buying the 2003 celica headlight housing + HID!
are they using the same shape housing? since tehy are offering HID, im assuming they are using a different type of low beam projector to utilize the D2S bulb, and to patch up those UFO spots of light?
and wont this be the first Toyota vehicle to have HID as an option? i dont think any other TOyota has had HID as an option before. only Lexus. Am I correct?

it will be 1000+ per side... then you'll have to buy the new "HID" capable head lamps that cost another $900...
good luck... got a price?

So instead of trying to tweak the engine for a little more hp, or maybe even tweaking the suspension for a little more performance (such as adding an LSD), they give us (drum roll please)

well, at least now I won't have to worry about getting busted for my HIDs if they start offering them as a factory option.
