okay i put a deposit on my celica GTS with action package on mid OCT...and they said i should get my car in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks later i find out that they cant get my car untill mid NOV i cause they have to order it from japan..... and told me to call back on the 15th....so i call back on the 15th and now they say i cant get it until end of JAN!!!!!! i asked why and they say cause its got to be shipped from japan and its backordered.... so i tryed to talk the price down because i got to wait till END JAN....they said no they can't...so then i was like whatever fine just get me the damn car....by the way i been calling the sales guy every single day to try to find out the date of arrival of my car... but he keeps on saying he'll call me back which he never does...so i call him everyday and yesterday he said he promised me he would call me back but he never did so today i call and GUESS WHAT I FOUND OUT??? he went on vacation till TUE!!!!!!! and that really pissed me off so i talked to the manager!! and asked him what wats up with my car!... and he said he never ordered it!! the only thing he can do is requests for it!!!! what kind of FU**ing $hit is that!!!! so therefore im not even going to get my car till ?????? i dunno what to do someone help me out please......NEED HELP A.S.A.P
you got cheated. Depending on the amoutn of deposit you put down they're simply collecting interest on it. Just take the deposit back and walk out. That 's what I wouldve done after 2 weeks, not 4 weeks.
Did you get a VIN for the car they are "ordering" ? When a dealer needs to order a car for you always get the VIN and the exact options(two-digit code) on paper so they can't find you another one just to get you off their back.
you sound like a newbie on buying cars maybe you should try a service like carmax.com where they sell cars with "no-haggle" price. We have them here in VA. Good Luck.

Bull you got a verbal contract with the sales person stating that you will get it October, eventhough it is not on paper there was a verbal contract. Tell them you will bring them to small claims court because they renig on the verbal contract, so a breach of contract by them cause the contract to be invalid thus you are intitle to get your money back. Don't underestimate verbal contract as long as you have a witness (someone that went with you to put down payment) you have more witness than them.

Complain like thier is no tomorrow. I have found this to always work. Go into the dealership and make an A$$ of your self right on the sales floor. When I worked retail I hated when people did this but they always got their way! If you make a scene infront of other customers the customer will question wheather they chose the correct dealrship or not. The first the a good manager will do is to get you to calm down and will give you just about anything to do so. At the very least do not back down until
1) You have your money back
or
2) You have gotten them to lower the price on your car and have a estimated date of delivery in writing.

Great advices!!! I couldn't have recommended better. Small claims court would DEFINITELY get some attention.
So what's the update? I'm really interested on how things go..
