Your car's nitrous reaction

When you guys use nitrous, how would you describe the engines immediate reaction? does it jerk. Thanks im just looking to find out how it reacts throughout the whole process of spraying the nitrous. So if you all would, will you put what shot of nitrous you have and how you engine takes it. Possibly include what gears you use the nitrous in and hwne you stop using it.
