Correct iDrive, we're northwest of Detroit in Commerce Township. We do offer full installation services, a turbo kit would be no problem at all. Once the kit is out I can give you an idea of what the install would cost, it's tough to say before seeing it.
Thanks,

Maan u want some people to install ur turbo? I'm from the metro detroit area. I know of a shop that can do it. Its called autowerks. Its in warren on dequindre between 13 and 14 mile. They're gonna be real expensive seeing as they're the only shop around. I've heard of a few more, but they're just opening up so i don't think they do installs just sales. Honestly, try those domestic mutherf$ckers, they may not like ur car, but they do a lot of mustang/camaro/trans am turbocharging so i'm sure they'll be able to do the celica's. Money talks...

yeah, the turbo thing won't be for awhile, so what about just nitrous for now? do you guys dyno tune as well? (autowerks or monkeyracing) i need some experienced hands to do my coilovers and serious engine work. do you guys do paint? if so, you might be seeing some of my money this summer. i have plans for my ride!

Okay well i don't work for autowerks, but if u happen to stop in there, mention me. YOu should meet everyone at the show at cobo hall. I'm pretty sure u'll see helluva lot of shops representing there. Its gonna be on june 1st. But yeah, if u want a dyno, a shop called speedworks across the street from autowerks has a dyno. Autowerks could definitely do your nitrous and engine work. They specialize in honda's (Of course). U want body kits painted? Autowerks does have a paint shop next door to them. Its a separate store, but they do work together. Honestly, you want sh!t painted, go to a collision shop. Compare prices. Just make sure they have ppg certification. Coilovers also can be done at most tire places like discount tire. YOu might as well get that stuff done there b/c autowerks will rip you off, i guarantee it. Email me if u wanna find out where to go for whatever stuff u need done. I know some places. How far is flat rock from the D? What major highways you near?

I know some of the guys from AutoWerks and I've seen some of their work. First rate. I will use them for my lightweight flywheel, JDM final drive ratio and clutch install.

flat rock is about 20-25 minutes south of the "D" from i-75. 75 is right by my house actually, and i use it almost daily. except for the construction right now, ARRRGGGH!!!. yeah i was just wondering because around here especially, no shops are really into imports, they don't even want to touch them. "they're too delicate to work on", "i dunno what a mm is!". "a foreign car? i ain't touchin it. take it to yer dealer pal!" thats what i here around here. and vodox, yeah they're are few celica guys around as well. i pretty much represent for all downriver for our cars, LOL. I would like a little meet, that would be tight. the whole 4 guys that would show up anyways...
am i the only girl?
anyone near lakeside mall?

First off, I'm not too sure if I'd trust the people at Autowerks. They're cool and everything, and I know the owner, however I don't think they're very competent as far as installing parts is concerned. First off, the owner, didn't build up his own engine... he took it to this one place called Payn Technologies, it's off 15 mile just east of coolidge! Those guys are expensive, but they know everything!!! The owner over there is a mechanical engineer! Anyway, back to Autowerks... I took my old car (99 si) there to have a B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator installed. I could've done it myself, but didn't have the tool to cut the stock one (the B&M fits over the stock one). Anyway, Andy did the installation and he cut it too short, so it leaked! Lucky for me, there was an integra GSR in his shop, so he used the FPR off that! The good thing was he only charged me $35 instead of $50. It was all good... but, i wouldn't trust them with any major engine work!!! A few months I took my car in to get a High Flow Cat installed. I dropped it off, and when I came back, on my car was a Test Pipe!!! Andy said that the check engine light will go on, but it doesn't mean anything. He either didn't know that when the CEL goes on in a honda, it retards the timing and runs a rich fuel mixture or he was giving me a bunch of BS!!! Don't get me wrong, Autowerks is still a good place to go to buy parts, I just wouldn't take my car there to have them installed.

By the way, for all those people who want to meet... my crew, Team Hayasa, will be meeting at Halmich Park on Sunday May 12... if the weather permits. A little about Team Hayasa, we have 20+ cars so far. Some celicas, a few civics, a few cavaliers, etc. We started out in February. Anyway, if anybody is interested, email me at anicepnoy@aol.com for more information.

Hey man, i got a flyer for an invite from team hayasa up at OU. Its cool to see a member on here. I didn't go to the meet cause it was on a saturday and i used to spend time w/ the girlfriend (now my ex) on saturdays. Screw cobo (i'll be in chicago unfortunately), let's all have a meet somewhere. Halmich sounds good to me. I hear its gonna rain this sunday though. Let's get the Detroit celica's to finally represent.

Well, it's good to know that the guy who's supposed to be handing out the flyers is doing his job... hehehe. BTW, sorry to hear about your g/f. Anyway, starting this sunday, we'll be having weekly meets over there from 3-5pm. As for the rain, hopefully it won't on Sunday, but if it does then we'll just have to wait until next week. Just email me if you have any questions.

That's true, it does have a lot of speed bumps, but we've managed. This will be the second meeting, so I'm not too sure where exactly we'll be meeting. Wherever the first person parks, the others will just follow. You brought up a good point, though, and I'll address that to the other senior officers, so hopefully we can decide on a permanent spot. Last time, we met along the strip!

Damn! Didn't know there were sooo many people near Warren on here lol... anyways... From what I've seen and heard Autowerks does a good job BUT they'll charge u up the arse... I've heard of a few other places in the area that just started, but I can't remember names off the top of my head, I'll look into it and get back to yuh...

Yeah man, it'd be cool if u could find another place besides autowerks. I heard of a place somewhere in roseville that sells kits. Most likely its for honda though, so not worht it IMO.
Hey sinister, you drive a silver celi? I think i saw you up at Family video in Troy. I was gonna say wutsup, but i was rushing.

Chui, I keep missing you, well I haven't been in town much lately. I will be in Dallas, TX over Memorial weekend so I can't attend the Detroit Region "Palace Solo2 event.
All of you should go because it is so much fun.
I never see any celicas in any Detroit region races which is pretty sad! We have a race this weekend in Flint so go to "Myautoevents.com" and look it up. If you haven't done it before, we will teach you, and it isn't expensive. Troy
