I saw this on the sports compact car site and was wondering about it. They did a little suspension tweek and I was wondering if anyone does it. You know the strut towers right? Well, what they did was loosen the bolts and push over the middle part over toward the middle of the car. Here's what they said "Upon reassembly, we noticed the upper strut mounting holes were quite large. Showroom stock racers always take advantage of loose tolerances like this to get as much camber as possible. When tightening the strut top bolts, we made sure the strut was as far toward the center as possible. The difference in camber is minimal, but not as minimal as the effort. " I think when stock the car can do like 0.85 g's, so after doing this will it help and do like 0.86 g's? Here is the link to the pic. Thanks for any info.

I don't know how much slop there is at the top of the strut in our cars, but you'll get a lot more negative camber a lot easier by just buying a few crash bolts.

Whats a crash bolt?

There are 2 bolts at the bottom of the strut where the whole brake/wheel assembly attaches to the strut. Toyota makes "crash" bolts that can replace those that originally came in your car. The crash bolts are of varying smaller diameter than stock. The smaller diameters give you some play to adjust the angle at which the wheel attaches to the strut...voila! camber adjustability!
They're called "crash," because they could be used if you bent a suspension component and need to get camber back to factory spec...we autocrossers use them for the opposite reason--to get outside of factory spec!
There are 3 bolts: 1-dot, 2-dot, and 3-dot (they have little dots on the heads of the bolts to differentiate). 3-dot is the narrowest (greatest gain in adjustability), 1-dot is the closest to stock. You (or more likely the alignment guy) can try various combos in the top/bottom holes to get the neg camber you want. Part #'s:
1-dot: 90105-15004
2-dot: 90105-15005
3-dot: 90105-15006

Wow, thats some interesting stuff there. I never heard of this before. I think I might get this soon, who knows. I'll do some searches on this, and maybe ask an alignment guy too. Thanks guys.

Go for it.
Most of us have gotten about -1.5 to -2.0 degrees of camber using a single 3-dot bolt. I only got -1.5, with the upper bolts replaced.
