Hey guys, I'm planing on getting a big brake kit just wondering what is out there and available for our cars? Don't want to do just the front, all 4 corners for sure. I already got rims that design to fit BBK, so no problems there.

So what are the options and what kinda price ranges?

celica dont have rear BBK. you can get powerslot, they make them for the rear, but it is just bigger rotor with relocation bracket for stock calipers.

If you are going to use the BBK from Stoptech(or TRD), it will not work with bigger disc's at the rear.
I know ,I tried it with the AEM ones and the ABS got crazy on me. They where in the car for 1 day then I sold them( at a big loss). The Stoptech are optimised for the stock rear system. Putting a wider disc in the rear , will lock up the rear before the fronts at high braking situation.

ABS go crazy...whoa... wow, good to know. Thx Many & Bob... Ok well seems that I'll just have to get the front and hopefully some kinda matching bigger then stock caliper on a powerslots for the rears.

Went with Rotora BBK in the front and Rotora slotted rotors in the rear. I like them, they look good and just fit inside my 17s.

I bought the Stoptech....IMO i noticed that the calipar is alot bigger than the rest of the BBK other than the 6 piston rotora...as for the TRD BBK....STOPTECH = TRD.....same maker just different label....you pay more with toyota because it says TRD not STOPTECH on the calipar...

What are your goals? What do you find lacking about the current brakes? What pads and fluid do you have? What tires do you have?

UNless you want bling, or actually take your car to the track (no not the 1/4 mile) why get them. Bigger brakes only allow you to dissapate heat faster/ spread heat over a greater area. Your stocks are more than adaquet with pads and maybe ss lines. That grand could go to some very nice tires or other fun stuff.

This is true.....its only good if you want "BLING" and wanting to make a difference in your braking from high speeds....

I don't find anything lacking at all with the stock brakes, its plenty fine. I just didn't like how open and empty everything looks after I got my 18" wheels, so I wanted to fill the space with bigger calipers. 83841 pretty much answered the reason I really want them ;) But I'm putting this on hold for a while, as I'm thinking of modding another area at the moment. But I appreciate all you guys advice.
