Where can I get a double DIN one like that which will match the dash 100%
I've got the PIONEER FH-P800 deck and the stereo shop made a cheap trim ring to put it around it and I don't like it one bit. I want to get my center console painted blue and it will look like hell with this cheap black trim ring sitting around the deck.
I heard they make one for our car to fit a double DIN deck perfectly but I don't know where to find this.
Here is my deck:

Here is one that is for the single DIN deck that is designed specifically for our car. I have heard that these are sold on eBay but I have been unable to locate these.

Those DIN plates come from the UK. They cost about $50 US and with some luck you should be able to get them in a week. I got the plate from a guy named Michael Tang. Go to the newcelica.org website >> click on installs >> click on misc>> then click on the link that has to do with the Single DIN kit. His email address should be on the bottom. Cool guy, he should be able to help you out

Bleh.... I emailed him and got the following response.. this sucks!!
Hi
The kits that I have been buying for fellow celi owners in USA are Single
DIN kits. The double DIN space in the Celica is weird that it is not of
normal double DIN size.
At the moment I don't know if there is such Double DIN kit for the Celi, but
I will make an enquiry and will notify you soon.
Cheers
Michael

no double din kit. but what you can do is go to selectproducts.com and get different kinds of plastics and stuff. the plastic they used is probably on there and they do brushed aluminum and carbon fiber and stuff. they can be painted and stuff. why not just have em paint your one now? or just do brushed aluminum, it would match the head unit.

Couldn't you just cut down the single din to fit around your double. The deck itself you will most likely mount to the factory brackets or mounting positions. Then take the re-cut single dim adapter and use for trim. Could prob even mount it to the center trim of the car rather than the radio.

I like your cover you are complaining about. As long as it looks good painted. When I bought my car, it came with a nice flip down CD player in it, with a cool little trim plate that has space for 3 CD cases under the radio. I am sorry I don't have any pictures posted yet, I'll be sure to include one of that. I am pretty sure that if I get anything else to go with the radio, I can pull the trim plate off, and trim away the storage part, and will have 2 openings, but that's just a thought.

Sorry, I know I'm bringin back an old thread. Does any body know where I can find a plate for a single din unit, but with the hole offset to the bottom, not in the middle like the pic above?

Kawika,
I have called 3 dealership trying to find this damn piece of plastic. I know you are in Germany, but do you think it would be at all possible to do A LOT of us a favor and call your dealership and get the part numbers for the single and double din moldings?
I would forever be in your debt!!!
Thanks,
J
