My boy just picked up a 2006 Eclipse Gt...WOW!!!!!

so my boy just got a 2006 eclispe...a big upgrade from his 1988 saab..haha

and took me for a spin last nite...WOW WOW WOW!!!

i drive a 2002 GT-S...and lemme tell u..this car blows it outta the water...but its should..its a V6...

its got 263 HP...Rockford fosgate 6 cd speaker system with a sub..the seats are DAMN amazing...6 spd just like the GT-S


but man..this car takes noooooo effort to hit 100 km/h...or 180 km/h for that matter


im not really feelin the look of the car...too "future" for me..but this machine flys...

it's not really that fast. it runs 14.2-14.6 all day at the track here in Vegas. For a v6, i think it's shameful. Ugly outside, cheap inside. They could of atleast made it a RWD. You are just feeling what we call "torque". Makes it seem fast huh? But the stock system does sound nice.

agreed. it's slow, it just feels fast because it's got more torque. it's a tourer, and way too fat to be considered sporty. i'd take a celica over it any day of the week.

I wouldn't say the car is slow since when people hit 14.2 with the Celica everyone is happy :)

The only thing that car needs is a major diet as it weighs too much.

that's what i say about GM. they can make a budget supercar (new z06), but they can't make a single car under 30,000 worth buying.

Mitsubishi itself if a company in significant financial distress, and unlike GM...it's overseas to boot, so blind patriotism to an inferior product isnt a factor...this could explain lackluster sales w any of their vehicles

Hmmm i'm not a fan of the look either. I haven't even seen any driving around. I remember when the old ones came out they like flooded the streets. The new one reminds me of one of the Saturn cars. The one that has the 3rd door =-)
