I just bought a new Nissan Xterra last week and so far I LOVE IT! It's quiet a change from the celica. But I know this SUV will be awesome for when we have kids.

Just wanted to come in here and give it a

i prefer the old xterra body, but the newer powertrain.

the old powertrain was pretty damn good though, the nissan VG engine is a workhorse of a V6. I hate how the new Xterra is cleaned up, the old one looked more aggressive, but now it has way more power.

Well since I'm a girl I'm not going to really be using it for aggressive off road use. Maybe every once in awhile the hubby might take it off road some where. But I doubt it. We manly got it cause we're going to be starting a family soon and I wanted an SUV. I loved the look and the price.

If you're not using it for offroad use, then why did you get the XTerra?

Its designed for offroad - you'd have been better off with a Pathfinder, Rav4 or CR-V - better ride quality and on street manners.

I believe I said why i got the xterra. I liked the look and the price. The Rav4 (even the new one) is too small and the pathfinder is more expensive. I don't like the look of the CR-V either. Also I got the 4x2. Not the 4x4. The ride quality is actually REALLY nice. Smoother then the celica is some ways.
