I guess I'm newbie to this forum. & Jus got into a celica. Hoping to find some hook ups on parts & info. ( need to learn stuff about celicas used to be a eclipse guy, but mits is going stupid ever since 2000 )
& yes I'm in HI.
Is there any other Celica forums based in HI?

Any online sites recommendations? This question is only for celica owners in HI, cuz not all sites ship to the islands. :lame:

Welcome ! "NEW GUY" !

The info on our cars, humm..I would have to say Nc.org in my opinion. So I have to go with Dan on that part.As far as the parts is concerned, I usually just get it online, since it's a bit cheaper even with shipping too sometimes. You just have to find the right site and the right ppl, esp groupbuys are extremely helpful.

Are they really good? I remember a post on the other forum complaining how bad their service was in getting kits and such.

hehe, i waited 7 months for munkywurks to bring in my HIDs. Sent me the first set of H4 bulbs the first time XD then had to wait for H7's to get in. Munkywurks can get you good stuff from japan.

i'f say the only non-crooked places would be munkywurks and hi pace. Too bad hi pace doesn't do installs anymore, their prices were reasonable

Thnx for the welcome. Does anyone have a specific website? perhaps posting a link would be nice.

Yeah my friend bought a kit from KitWerks took a month & half, but he got it.

Tried to buy a kit for my 98 eclipse from Titans, waited 4 mons before getting $$$ back.

So they don't do installs at HI pace  , well there were always backed up on appt.s anyway.

yep, they told me that they weren't making enough profits to do installs so they only sell now.

The best bet would be to wait for a gb on here. Or just go to the sponsored links and they have pretty much all the good sites for us celi owners

that depends on what you're looking for. ebay will have a lot of stuff...and in the "sponsors" link on this website there's a few that i've already bought from.

Maybe I'm blind, but is there a used car parts on this Forum/website?
How do you get a "Trader Rating"?

The "For Sale" forum might be the closest thing to a used car parts area and you only get trader ratings from people that have bought things from you.

like he said, and trader rating is like ebay feedback where buyers and sellers can leave you feedback.

yep, but I was looking to buy from a person on the same island (Oahu), if from person to person.

people dont sell much stuff on here. once in a while something comes up... but the buy and sell is your best bet if you need something specific or soon.

I remeber the last time I was down here some of my friends had memberships in " MAKE " specific clubs. for exapmle : a ford focus, isuzu, DOHC club ect.

Does anyone knows if there Is a celica club in HI ?

i don't think it's popular enough for one. if anything, the original group from this forum was the "celica club". sometimes u just gotta wait for used parts to come up. a lot of people are sellin their celicas and are parting their cars out. not sure if there's any at this moment. are u looking for anything in particular?

Nope, nothing specific. I know when I modify my previous car I normally get tired of what I got, or got something I really didn't want, & think " If I had a buyer I would upgrade or jus buy something different." & maybe there might be people out there that might think the same way.

Well I installed a set of LEDs (blue) for my Gauge cluster, The Fuel & Temp display lights up great.

But can anyone tell me how to get the Speed & RPM to glow blue instead of orange? I'm temped to start rubbing some nail polish remover, but I thought I might get some advise first.

I'm also don't really want to get a cover set cus I not really fond of white backround on my guages.
