Here on Long Island I've seen black and silver the most...saw one in spectra blue. I want my red *drool* hehe I wish it came in a dark grey/gunmetal color...love that!

yeah when i got my car in february, i had a choice between a 2000 white gt
and a 2001 silver gt. i chose the white because at that point in time the
majority of celicas that i had seen were silver. and plus i love the way it

Mines Thunder Grey, I saw 6 silver Celicas driving between Manchester and Leeds this morning (about 40 minutes). I see a lot of red ones too (I drive 1000 miles per week!!) At hte moment I am counting Audi TT's cos my sisters bought one. They are ALL Silver.

I think that it's interesting that silver is the most common color and all the commercials for the Toyota Celica usually feature silver cars. Do you think that if the Celica's in the commercials were predominately specta blue, we would see more blue celica's than any other color?

Yeah, marketing plays a big factor. I personally got silver because the first Celica I saw was silver and I was in love at first sight. I decided I had to get one just like it.

Think about how Subaru's WRX rally car is always blue in commercials. I see a lot of blue WRXs.

This information is available. Anyone know where? I have another car that I know the production #'s for and colors. I ask because I am going to post a question pertaining to overall production numbers. Some manufacturers are easier to obtain #'s for (inlcuding colors). I did hear there are 5000 mr2's/yr. Celica's are rarer than one would think. Silver is huge now in all cars. White is #1. Red is getting rarer. People like cars with a lot of "depth" to the color, to make 'em feel like it is more expensive (hence all the deep greens, weird purples and colors that aren't really any one color). This doesn't explain white.... One other thing, WRX's are only three colors, and whatever the factory makes people buy like hotcakes hence all the blue ones. They are a nice Maxima but slower! ha ha!!!

Silver must be the most popular in my area.
Mine will be yellow, I'm getting it in a week now.
I've never seen any yellow Celica yet as it's the first year they offer that color in Canada.:D

looking at the toyota dealers around here in arkansas, here's my opinion of the color order.

1. silver (most prominent by 3xs 2nd place)
2. spec mica blue and white
3. red
4. carbon blue and black
5. yellow (have yet to see one)

why is silver the most popular? because that's what they've painted most of the celicas in. the same goes for the blue on the WRX. they've released more blue ones. i'm sure that if they released more reds or whites than the silvers, then we'd see more of those because some people don't really care for the color. they're doing it for the performace or for the looks of the body.
