aem intake help!

i'm a newb and i just bought an aem intake gen1... and i drive a 2005 GT.. i've been having trouble with fitament.. is there any way i can jam it in there or do i need to get a gen 2?

you most likely got the version for the gts....exchange it for the gt version

the instructions says its for the GT

if its made for a gt, it should fit a gt. try to move it around and make it fit.

Do you have an auto or manual? The auto will have pretty tight fitment, since the tranny is larger than the manual. The Gen 2 has the same piping shape/size, just a different MAFS location, so that won't solve the problem.
