illegal tint???

i got my 2002 black celica gt about 3 days ago...

and i wanna get my windows tinted....

wut percent should i do???

is 15% illegal?....can you guys tell me the least percent of legal tint??? by the way...BLACK tint...keke thnx~

First, it will help if you tell us what state you're in. Most states have specific laws, and a few don't.

Your best bet is to get about 3% limo (mirror) tint and then after about a week get (I think) 10-15% tint. NO ONE will be able to see in... it's illegal, but a lot of places will "make sure you're taken care of."

Most states tint is illegal period. The best thing to do is go to your department of transportation and they will tell you the exact percentage that is illegal. I know in Iowa anything less than 85% here.

limo tint is NOT mirror tint. mirror tint is just what is says mirror tint. limo tint is real dark tint. how often do you see a limo with mirror tint.

limo is 3% tint. Black not mirror. It all depends on what state you live in. Each state has different laws. There are some states that don't allow tint at all. Some don't allow tint on the front 2 windows. Most states the legal tint is 15% on the back and 25% on the front windows.

I have 5% all around on mine. and about 11 inches down the windshield.

well your profile doesn't even say what state you're in, but in most states where tint is legal on the front windows, you could do 15% rear, 20% sides and you won't have to worry. dark enough, but not blatently illegal. i have that now, and it SUCKS. i want limo tint. i'm even thinkin i want like, real real light tint on my front windshield just because its SO HOT in orlando. its insane.

but why don't you just go to a tint place and ask them. d@mn.

in california the only legal tint for the front window's has to be done by a dealer ship ..you don't need to look for the answers call a tint shop they will tell you right away what is legal and what isn't
