ok when i first put on my zex wet nitrous kit (55shots), it was working fine... then about 3 months later, everytime i mash on the pedal my car doesnt seem like its running n20, the car just runs normal... i have the kit that connects to your throttle when u floor the car... i thought maybe my bottle was empty or didnt have enough psi, so i emptied it and refilled it... i still wasnt able to get the nitrous to work properly.. then i bought a purge kit..it purges but nitrous is still not pushin the car... what do i have to do.. any help would work ..thanx guys...

turn ingnition to on position, with nitrous switch active, but bottle NOT open. Press the gas to the floor like you normally would and listen for the click. Next try mashing it to the floor. Check Fuses, and see if your zex managment box has it's light on. Try reseting the WOT switch.

Bottles are for babies :P Just playin...I don't have too much experience with NOS on a FI vehicle. But I would try what Bssoap74 said...and then let us know how it turned out. I'm curious as to what the problem is...

I had this similar problem before. turn out it was due to my new floor mats inhibiting my gas pedal from flooring.... I just adjusted the throttle cable and it solved the problem.

yup do what he said.........if it doesnt click its probably the fuse!!

Mine had the problem where the WOT got messed up, and everytime i would step on it it would click like a machine gun instead of one long click. Reset the box and redo the throttle sensor

thanx guys!! ur information really helped...but... its too late... yeah so sad... i brought my car to an import shop around town, and after they were done i went off to school... after i got off of schhol i turned da switch on and mashed it for about 4 seconds... right when i hit about 45 mph... yall ready for this?... well you know how celica gt's have a plastic manifold? well... the manifold blew up!! right when i pulled over to the side, i checked for leaks, but i didnt see any. then i checked for smoke, no smoke, then i checked my radiator to see if any oil was mixed w/ my coolant, and it was kewl... my battery still goes on, and my starter still works... but my engine isnt starting anymore... could it be because my manifold is blown? please tell me its just the manifold i have to replace.. please? i need any helpful information on this guys... thank you so much...

gosh.... I read b4 about manifold blowing up due to accumulation of fuel... didn't know it can really happen.....

if the manifold blew up that means ur car will not start because u need vacuum......so yes replace the manifold......goodluck

k guys i will keep you updated once i get my manifold replaced. **** that plastic **** cost me 350 :( and this is only for temporary. just wondering do they make ANY aftermarket intake manifold that can hanldle nitrous cause plastic is not helping at all. from what i heard they dont make any aftermarkets for gt. i also heard gts manifolds dont fit gt. so any suggestion is welcomed and tell me where can i find them please. thanks guys for all help really appreciate it.

you'd have to go custom. ragnorak racing is coming out with one but only for the gts i think

I would have said check the splice into the TPS as well, until I read the rest of the thread

Double-check which jets you are using and that you have the correct jets in the correct places. I don't see how your intake manifold blew up like that...

I've heard of the manifold blowing up. Someone in canada had that happen.

a 55 shot on a GT should not do that. I ran a 75 shot on my GT-S for quite a while and never had anything similar happen. plus, GTs can handle it better in general than GT-Ss. This is why I think his jets might be mixed up or something

How would the GT handle it better if it has a plastic manifold?

GT internal wise can handle nitrous better than the GTS. But the intake manifold is the weak point. I have heard a quite a few GT's blowing there manifolds. The GTS intake manifold will not have that problem, but with higher compression more chance of KABOOM!

ah, I didn't know it was JUST plastic for the GTs manifold... That makes a little more sense then. And what I was meaning was internal-wise GTs are better suited for nitrous

im guessing that mabey youre nitrous solinoid stuck.and when you were flooring it and waiting for the click. the fuel solinoid was still dumpin in fuel that puddled in the intake manifold which caused it to blow. its usually fuel puddling and nt the actual nitrous that blows manifolds.theres some older 1zz corollas with metal manifolds but fitment might be an issue. as long as no plastic went into the head.(or other vital moving parts) it should start when you get the new manifold. when i check my kit i usually pull the nozzle and spray it into a bucket so i can see what comes out

i think thats the problem i am having right now. this would be my closet issue the of the reason why my manifold would blow up so thanks for the advice yo  . makes perfect sense and rep to you homie. :king: ill give an update when my manifold comes in thanks guys.

alright.. so heres wats happening... i got the manifold in and i put it on...when i try to start the car, it sounds like the pistons are still moving, my crank and alternator is still spinning when i try to start the engine, and the engine sounds like its about to start but it just wont... whats happening? u think maybe my timing just got messed up and i gotta adjust it, or what... thanx alot guys, my cars drivin me nuts so it would help if u guys can tell me any suggestions... thanx!! :WTC:

check your cylinder compression to make sure there was no internal or valve damage... that starting scenario sounds like a bent valve to me.

Any news? heh I'm still wondering what exactly happened.
