Ok, for my Spectra Blue Mica GT-S should I get the FULL Urethane Kaminari kit, or the Fiber Glass Trial kit? Money is not an issue. Think about the pro's and con's to Fiber vs Urethane. I love both kits, so somebody help!
Oh, my last post ended with me getting the TEIN Super Street Coil Overs, Thanks to those who replied.

I love the look of the TRIAL kit (the front and sides anyway) but think it would be too hard to roll around on, especially with a decent drop from your coilovers. The fact that it's fibreglass prolly is a good sign of frequent trips to the bodyshop for repairs.
I'm having a rough time riding around with my kit and trying not to damage it, and my front lip is decently conservative. When I first drove my car home from the bodyshop, I couldn't even get it up the driveway into my garage. Now that I've lifted the front a little, I'm having an easier time, but I still have to be very creative about how I get to some places. I've also come to accept that there are some places my car simply can't go anymore... but that's ok, I have an extra car.
If you don't have to drive the car a whole lot, and you don't deal with speedbumps/inclines/driveways very often, perhaps you can live with the TRIAL kit, but if not you'd prolly want to lean more in the direction of Kaminari.

I would stay away from fiberglass kits as much as possible unless you treat your car like a show car and don't drive it hard daily. Trial kit is more of a showcar kit and not a good investment for the performance enthusiast who wants to look good also.
I say kaminari, but then again, im biased. ;)

I've heard that the paint sticks well to the fiber glass, how dose it do on the Urethane?
I ordered my TEIN coil overs yesterday, so i'm not 100% sure how they work but can't you bring the car to stock hight?

Well just fyi, your stock bumpers are urethane also so you can make the call with that info. And the Kam urethane kit is very well made.

If the Trial kit was in urethane, I'd say go for it, but then again we live in the real world so I'll have to go with Kaminari.
but remember not all fiberglass are piss poor. theres a difference between fiberglass from like buddy club or blitz and the fiberglass on veilside.
i'll say find out the quality of the trial's fiberglass. i its up to par then choose what you want. personally i'll go with the kaminari kit only because i'm starting to love that kit a whole lot now

It seems like we are all on the same wave length, the Trial kit looks the best but the Kam kit is the most practical.
HINT, HINT Trial make your kit out of urethane!

Correct. Fibreglass is easier to paint, and easier to paint well. It's also easier to bodywork and repair, not to mention lighter. Urethane kits can be painted just as well, it just takes a longer time to prep and do it right.
I doubt you can raise the car back to stock height with the TEINs. I have my front end raised pretty much as far as it can go and I'm still at about a 1.8-2" drop. I've heard ppl with the TEIN SS have similar results. You're either low, or REALLY low.

So if I install the TEIN's i'm going to be too low for the Trial kit, maybe I should go with the Sportivo kit from TRD and then go with the Trial kit. Would that look funny?
QWKsilvr808 your kit is fiber glass right, how is it holding up?
Thanks

I smashed one of my skirts accidentally going over a parking stall stopper (taking a turn around an end stall), and had to have it repaired. It took the blow well tho and didn't crack, but I had to have it bodyworked and repainted anyway. The front lip looks ok from the outside, but if you reach underneath and feel the bottom, it's getting chewed pretty bad... mostly from when I first put it on and hadn't yet adjusted my technique with driveways and inclines, etc.
But it's holding up A-OK. My kit is a full inch lower than the frame rails where it's reinforced for your stock jack. It's supported by a set of metal C-braces that come with the kit and are bolted underneath the car. There are cutouts for the reinforcement points so you can still get your jack in there, but my car is so low that I can't slide it in from the side, I have to push it in thru the wheel well and slide it around and kinda fidget with it to get it to line up. And remember, my fronts are raised pretty much to the top. The rear is set lower... I plan to raise it when I get some time.
It's a pain in the ass really... I've had to find alternate entrances to a lot of places I frequent, just to have an easier time getting into the parking lots. For me tho, it's kinda worth it because I really love the kit, and I can stand the extra trouble. It helps to have a friend who runs a body and paint shop that can hook me up all the time. ;)

Just because of that last post, I will get the trial kit, if Trial USA ever responds to my email.
NOW for wheels what do you guys think about the Trial wheels, those three spokes shown in the pictures?
Any wheels suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

Well if Trial doesn't get back to me within 2 weeks there will be another Kaminari kit on the road.
Redline: a couple questions, do you have the urethane kit, and if so have you noticed any problems with the paint holding on to it? Next what did you use to lower your car, and have you had any problems with the kit scraping the road or anything else?
Thanks!

Cant really comment on the paint right now cuz bodypros did a really crap job. As far as the drop, i have trd springs and you scrape pretty easily. You have to go down most inclines sideways or you WILL scrape. hehe. time for some bigger rims...
