I looked on the schematics i found on another toyota webboard and there were 60+ pages of schematics. I had a reaaaalllly bad time readin them though because all the letters and numbers are blurry as hell. Does anyone know exactly where the wire is located and the color of it? I want to do a few experiments of my own....

The part that engages VVTL is located on the side of the engine(drivers side). The wire that is connected to it is solid Grey.

thats a good start, thanks man! I am still tryin to learn exactly how the system works before I go and activate it. Do you have any other info or know of some sources to look? I'm afraid of activating it when the cam is not advanced in the correct position and possibly hitting a valve with a piston. And on the same line of thought- which wire or wires control the advance and lift of the cam? I know I know too many questions but this is basically how I work everyday. On aircraft there's noone that goes a single day without learning something, and noone can fix an airplane without first learning the system and reading the manual while fixing it.......BTW i'm an aircraft mechanic. THanks for anything you can share.......
