Help!! The car spun out today. BAD LUCK! Going through a curve, wasn't even going fast. Tired blew cuz a nail, lost total control of the car. Car spun and hit things on the side of the road. I didn't call the police, it was in the dark, i just wanted to get home after what happened. I have StateFarm. Did anyone have similar experience dealing with StateFarm about this kind of situation? I wanna go for liability. Cuz when I hit something, I hit some rich dude's fences(which has been hit so many times by many cars cuz that curve), and I don't wanna pay for that..... :p So any experiences, any advice dealing with a StateFarm agent, or any insurance agent is appreciated!! Thank you!

From my experiences with insurance companies and talking to my friends who have all types, what I hear is that statefarm is the best to their customers and gives them the least ****. Just tell your agent the truth and they should be able to help you out. If you haven't ever been in any accident before this then they might not even make you pay a deductable. :)
uhm yea... call them and make the claim.. they come out and look at your car.. perty simple..

What you effectively did was a hit and run. At worst someone saw you and it has already been reported to the police. At the very least you better have a good story as to what you hit to tell your adjuster. It really makes no difference it was a rich dude's fence that has been hit before, you hit it this time and are liable for the damages.
ya know..i didnt even catch that part of the story.. why dont you just claim it as an accident.. its morally wrong not to.. if someone hit my fence Id be pissed.. but thats life.

this happened to me over the summer. i spun out kissed a fence nicely nicely. some dumb ass who just saw fast and furious thought it would be fun to drive fast on the wrong side of the road. i spun out many many many times avoiding the bastard. flew off the road, and kissed a fence. well it ends up being considered a one car accident, i hit a fence sideways, flung around then scrapped up the other side too. no body damage, but i had to repaint the whole damn car. it just had some nasty scrathes, damn chain link fence. well anyways i had to pay the deductible, plus my premium went up 35 bucks a month! so it cost about $700-1000 for the fence and between 4-5k for a good paint job. by the way i have alstate insurance. the cop was tried to accuse me of racing my freind's 5.0, i called the police when it happened, they wouldnt go looking for the kid either, i knew the location, year, make and model, color, and half the kids plate and the pig wouldnt go looking. cops suck! im gonna say that again, Davie Cops suck!

i think it might depend on the state whether that's considered a hit and run or not. In MA i don't think u have to call the police if the accident only involves damages to your properly. But since u did cause properly damages u'd better speak to the owner of the properly to cover your ass.

BoyRacer,
hey I live in Weston and used to live in Davie. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Most Davie cops are, and this is according to my friend who works in the Davie PD, "lazy morons". You could get shot, have a picture of the guy who did it, his name, number, and address, and they would still not go pick him up. That PD has some serious problems.

yeah it happened on that back road, when you leave the back way from the tower shops plaza. i think its SR 80 or 82? ya know it runs along 595. its long and straight. i was going east, this dumb ass was going west in the east bound lanes. Damn Davie rednecks. and their Redneck police force.

This is off topic, but Fiero have you ever seen that guy that has an LT-1 corvette engine shoved in a fiero. he brings it to the Shop sometimes. Wicked fast.

I know the exact road... your talking about. I can't for the life of me figure out how the hell someone gets that turned around when there is 150ft of 6 lane highway in between each side of SR84. Damn.
I haven't seen the guy but I have heard of him. One hell of a sleeper. I was thinking about doing something similar to my old Silver GT, or drop a GTP engine in there, but didn't have the cash when college started. Had to sell it to my friend Sean who is restoring the car nicely. Maybe after I get out of college I will buy it back and do something like that.
The Fiero is for the most part a race car frame with plastic panels. Damned fun. With an LT1 engine and good tuning, he might hit the 10's. Do you know if he has an 88 model?

As a State Farm employee and customer, it is true SF is the best for auto insurance. I have to say you should call your agents office and get the ball rolling asap. You should be able to get everything covered, even towing expenses.
The longer you wait the tougher it will be.
Also, like oldster said, if you mashed a fence and took off, that is technically a hit and run. You had better hope the adjuster doesnt ask to see where you spun out. Remember honesty is the best policy.
