My supervisors car is leaking oil. Whats strange is that the oil looks almost BRAND new, but she said she hasnt added or changed it for almost 7K miles. Now, what that would make me think is that the oil pump failed awhile ago, never circulating the oil, and the bearings have now finally used up the oil they had. And with the knocking noise, it only further adds more sense that her rod bearings are getting eaten up since the oil cant circulate.

Now, where could it be leaking?
Oil pan gasket, oil filter? It doesnt smoke, but it looks like its been sprayed all under the front pass. side and in the rim. Kinda confusing...need some help.

BTW, its an old saab 4000 or something.

With issues of that magnatude finding where it is leaking from is futile! Sounds like the fix is a rebuild or a new engine imo. However, look for places with lots of oil as high up on that side of the engine in areas around the oil filter, head/block seam, pully's, etc...

Well, i think about 20K miles ago she had her head gasket replaced.

A certified auto technician would know.

ticking, oil leak, loss of power? sounds like bottom end is about to go. aka rod bearings and maybe a bad front main seal.
