Nitrous .. ???

Being a real newbie to all things Celica, can someone please explain to me how Nitrous works as a mod on the Celica, what gains can be had, who would put the new jets in and any downside, things to look out for

Basically a real beginners guide as to what it is, and how it would make the car faster
