I have used the random orbital on my spec blue GT. All i can say is oh my dear lord. I ran over it with the number 2 polish and the 3 polish and then waxed it and it took me about three hours. Just a coat of wax took thirty minutes. It spreads the material on so smooth and thin that even dry the wax comes right off with my microfiber towels, i only have to just drag the cloth over it without putting any pressure on it. The shine is so deep and the wax is so even that i didnt even leave any residue, which by hand seems to always happen on my spec blue GT. They are 200 dollars, and a kit runs between 220 and 260 depending on the size. If there is a large interest, i may see if they would be willing to do a GB. I use this orbital on my windows with their glass polish and it works fantastic. I have had some problems with their boars hair brush, but they actually sent me the buffer to correct that problem. They are good quality stuff and good customer support. Every person that runs the phone uses the products. Sometimes i call them just to ask questions, and they are always more than happy to answer.
Bme107 i knew you were interested in the buffer, and i say to you definately try and make your schedules match up. Its way worth the time.

Thanks!
A week ago I used their red pad and the hand strap for it. Polish and wax go on so fast and even with the pad, it only took 45 min to do one coat by hand. I thought that was great and can only imagine the difference the orbital makes. I was surprised at the amount of wax that the pad can hold. I squeezed out about 1/4 cup when I was cleaning it out.
I'm sure it must say in the directions, but what speeds are you using? Did you start off slower than recomended until you got the hang of it?

He said that he waxes on 6 and polishes on 4
I started on 4.5 for wax and three for polish, but eventually got up to five on wax and four and a half on the polish. I had some relatively deep clear coat scratches, and one pass with number two and one pass with number three lessened them but didnt eliminate. I use their carnuba wax and heat it in the microwave and the use a spatula to spread it onto an orange pad. I like them better than red because they are firmer. I just went and buffed the area(about 2x2') until the wax was just a slight haze, then i buffed off with microfiber towel. Worked like a champ. Now i have to polish my 1967 912 S that i won in a raffle this weekend. Ill take pics of that one, and maybe i can email to interested parties since i have no web space available.
Feel free to pm with more questions.

Need4Spd, you could always go with a smaller buffer.....the ones that they have at WalMart are $15-20, and dont have numerous settings.....they only go one speed, which if you are a novice (as I was...and wanted these results, but terrified to try it) the one speed works wonders! Dont get me wrong, I only use it to polish the car.....wax I still do all by hand! ;)
Good luck,
Sunni :)
